Deploying VMware VCSA with the CLI 6.5
1. Download VCSA 6.5 ISO
2. Extract the contents and enter the Vcsa-cli-installer directory.
You will find 4 folders available for the Windows,linux and Mac OSX three different types of scenarios for VCSA devices.
3. In the template directory, there are 8 templates that you can use to perform an installation.
Embedded – Deploy a vcenter server with an embedded platform service controller.
psc– Deploy a platform Services Controller.
PSC replication – Deploy a platform service controller that joins an existing SSO domain.
vc– Deploy Vcenter Server.
4. We will use the Embedded_vcsa_on_esxi.json template to deploy vcenter on ESXi VCSA
5. Copy a file to another location, and after modifying it, the file will look like this.

esxi– information about the target location required for the ESXi host to deploy the VM (VCenter Appliance).
Device – Details such as disk configuration type, implementation type, and VM name.
Network – for IP details and system names (required by the certificate)
Details operating system – Password and SSH details
Sso–sso domain details.
After providing the information, run the following command to start deploying the VMware VCenter Appliance
6. Navigate to \ vcsa-cli-installer \ Win32 and run the following command
>vcsa-deploy.exe-help
7. Install and run the following command
> Vcsa-deploy.exe install-help
8. Run the following command to deploy the VCSA using the Embedded_vcsa_on_esxi.json template
> Vcsa-deploy.exe install-accept-eula-acknowledge-ceip << FILE location>
9. VCSA installation is in progress
Once the template is implemented, it will eventually open and start the installation service.
10. You can find the VMware vCenter Server virtual Appliance (embedded-vcenter-server-appliance) running on the ESXi host
11. Use the https://VCSA FQDN or the ip/vsphere-client with SSO to sign in to the Web Client (Single sign-on) the credentials that you provide in the template.
