It seems that the former is more suitable for products with specific user groups, while the latter focus on the user group fuzzy, and even different products. QQ is so, a large user base, users of age, habits, growth environment, social level, the use of a variety of factors such as the different, the era of pluralism is expected to use a skin to conquer all users this is absolutely impossible to do.
The original we are still in this stage, just blindly improve the visual effect, expect to increase the infinite, so as to get as many users satisfaction. But the design to a certain stage of the road will only become more and more narrow. Even though we cannot jump to conclusions, the improvement of visual effects relies on the advantages of technical means to imitate and reproduce the real things in nature to drive the change of view of things. At least for now, it has reached a culmination at this stage.
Perhaps many visual designers subconsciously believe that improving the visual enjoyment of products is always the first goal of visual designers. But I think this is just one of the goals that visual designers need to accomplish by means of design, we have to do a lot of things, such as: the design of the product can let users generate emotional sustenance, design innovation is beyond and follow the current product continuity, design and innovative content can be low-cost, efficient to be presented; Whether the form of design can be easily communicated through the semantics of the product without resorting to the help system.
