detailed installation and uninstallation of the oracle9iThis chapter describes the installation of the Oracle9i database as an example of the Windows operating systemThe main contents include:Pre-Installation Preparationinstallation of the Oracle9i databaseVerify that the installation was successful and that the database was uninstalled2.1 Pre-Installation Preparation2.1.1 Installation RequirementsOracle recommends that you install the Oracle database under Windows NT and Windows 2000, and that the partition of the disk is in NTFS format. But you can also use Windows 98 or Windows XP, and disk partitions can also be FAT32. The Oracle database is broadly divided into two versions, one for servers running on the server and one for clients running on the client side. This article mainly introduces the installation of Server Edition. During the installation of Oracle Server Edition, the installer prompts you to choose the type of installation. Oracle9i Database Installation types are: Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, Personal Edition, custom. If you want to use oracle9i well, require the reader to use the hardware platform for PIII 800MHz or similar performance, 256M memory (recommended 512MB), the remaining disk space is 3GB (recommended 5GB above), The recommended operating system for readers is Windows2000 plus patches (Service Pack 1 or higher), where patches are required.2.1.2 Installation Precautions1. The computer name of the computer on which you want to install Oracle must be an English name, not a Chinese name. Check the current computer name by right-clicking on my Computer, selecting Properties, and in the System Properties window that pops up, select the Network Identification page, and click Properties to view or modify the computer name. 2. The user name of the operating system used to install Oracle must be an English user, not a Chinese user. Check the current user's method: You can Press "Ctrl+alt+del" on the keyboard at the same time, the Windows Security dialog box appears, you can view your login information. If a message like this may appear: "You have logged in as Yanhaizhen/administrator. ”。 Where Yanhaizhen is the computer name, the administrator behind the slash is the user who is currently logged on to the operating system. 3. If you are copying an Oracle installation file to your computer for installation, be aware that the directory where the Oracle installation files reside cannot be a Chinese path. 4. The target directory for Oracle installation cannot be a Chinese path. 5. If you have ever installed Oracle, regardless of whether the installation was successful, if you want to install again, you must first completely uninstall the previously installed Oracle. The Oracle Uninstaller is unable to completely unload the database, primarily the registry problem. If the database is not cleanly uninstalled, an error will occur the next time you install.installation of the Oracle9i databaseis: Http://pan.baidu.com/s/1bobiPwN The procedures for installing oracle9i using Oracle Universal installer are described in detail below. The basic steps are as follows: (1) Open "Autorun.exe" "setup.exe" and start installing Oracle. (2) The Welcome screen appears, then click "Next" to the file location interface. Select the path you want to install. The general system can automatically find the source path, which is the path where the Oracle installer is located. Note the installation path must be an English path, and if it is a Chinese path, an error will occur with the installation. The Oracle version installed here is oracle9i 9.2.0, the directory name defaults to OraHome92, the system default installation path is C:\Oracle\ora92 and can be modified to a different path. Note that if you have other Oracle software installed on your computer, do not install the database in this directory, or you will break the original software. In addition, if the previous directory where Oracle was installed was not cleaned up, you can install it in a different directory. (3) Click "Next", the detection bar will appear, the user obtains the previous installation information, and finally the "Available Product dialog box", the choice to install the product type, you can choose to install the database, Management Server or client, select "Oracle9i 9.2.0.1.0 ". (4) Click Next and the Installation Type dialog box appears, asking you to choose the type of database installation you want, either enterprise, standard, personal, or custom. Select "Enterprise Edition" here. "Enterprise Edition" installation will install all of the database option products. The Standard Edition installation method does not install database options, and is typically used to provide core relational database management services and options. Personal Edition can be installed on a single-tasking operating system, such as the WINDOWS98 operating system. The "Custom" installation method allows the user to choose the parameters to set the database, primarily for use with special requirements for the database, but the user must be familiar with the Oracle database. (5) Click Next, the Database Configuration dialog box appears, and the database configuration types you can select are generic, transactional, data Warehouse, custom, and software-only installation. Select "GENERIC" here. (6) Click Next, the Oracle MTS Recovery Service Configuration dialog box appears, asking for the port number of the Oracle MTS Recovery service to listen for requests on this computer, and the default port number is 2030. The default port number is used here. (7) Click Next and the Database Identity dialog box appears, asking for the global database name and the DB instance name SID to be entered. When the global database name is entered, the system automatically generates the SID, the defaultSame as the global database name. You can also change to a different string than the global database name, and it is recommended that beginners set the global database name and SID to the same. The global database name is used to uniquely identify a database, and the SID (database system identifier, Identifier) is used to identify database-related routines. The format of the global database name is "database name. Database domain Name", and the database domain name can also be omitted. For example, in global database name ufs.neusoft.edu.cn, UFS is the database name, neusoft.edu.cn the network domain where the specified database is located, to differentiate the database with the same name in the network. If the database is not used on the network, the database domain name can be omitted, so that the global database name consists solely of the database name. The database name can be a string that is not more than 8 characters in length and can contain letters, numbers, and other characters. A database domain name is a string that is not more than 128 characters in length and can contain letters, numbers, periods, and other characters. The database instance name is used primarily for external connections. In a single-machine run environment, the database name corresponds to the instance name one by one. (8) Click Next, the Database File Location dialog box appears, requiring you to specify a directory for the database files. The default directory is oracle\oradata under the Oracle installation disk, but Oracle recommends installing the database files on separate disks from the Oracle software. You can use the default here. (9) Click Next and the Database Character Set dialog box appears, requiring you to select the database character set. The character set determines the language standards supported by the database. By default, Oracle9i automatically selects the language of the operating system as the core character set of the database. Select "Use default character set" Here, use the character set is Simplified Chinese ZHS16GBK (10) Click Next and the Summary dialog box appears, showing the installation configuration that you selected earlier. (11) Click the Install button to start the installation of the database. The installation of oracle9i for a long time, and machine performance, usually lasts about 30 minutes. When you are prompted to replace the second disc during installation, you can insert the second disc into the drive or enter the installation file storage directory on your hard disk, and then click OK to continue with the installation. (oracle9i) Once the software installation is complete, the installer automatically calls the Oracle Net Config Assistant for network configuration and automatically calls the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant Create database, automatically call agent configuration asSistant the proxy configuration, start the HTTP service, and so on. A DOS window pops up during this process, so don't force the window to close at this point. This is because Oracle makes the appropriate configuration work by invoking the background tool. For example, Oracle will invoke Tnslsnr.exe to start the listener when it makes a network configuration, call Sql*plus when the database is created, and invoke Apache.exe when the HTTP service is started. (13) After the database configuration is complete, the system displays information about the database and prompts to modify the password of the SYS and system users. These two users are Oracle's built-in administrator user, please remember the password of the two users after the modification. In Oracle9i 9.2, the password for these two users must be modified, but in Oracle9i 9.0 you can keep the original password unchanged. SYS user's default password is the Change_on_install,system user's default password is manager. The new password to be modified cannot be the same as the two passwords and cannot contain just numbers. The suggestion is: P#ssw0rd p$ssw0rd
(14) After modifying the password, click the "OK" button, the entire configuration process is complete, the installation program "complete" button becomes available, click the "Finish" button, will pop up the "Installation End" dialog box, click the "Exit" button to2.3 Verifying that the installation was successful to see if the Oracle9i installation was successful, just follow these steps: 1. View menu oracle When the installation is complete, you can see the Oracle's menu group 2 from [Start]-->[program]. View Services A set of services that begin with "Oracle" can be seen from the start]-->[Settings]-->[Control Panel]-->[Administrative Tools]-->[Services. Typically, if the installed Oracle9i is Enterprise Edition and uses the default installation method, there are 9 services that are installed last. Among them are Oraclemtsrecoveryservice, oracleorahome92agent, Oracleorahome92httpserver, Oracleorahome92tnslistener, ORACLESERVICEORCL These 5 services are automatically started on boot. After the installation is complete, the 5 services are in the boot state. By default, these 5 Oracle services are automatically started after each power-on, which causes the power-on time to become longer and takes up a lot of memory space after startup, and slows down the computer. If you do not use Oracle frequently, you can change these services from "automatic" to "manual" startup. By right-clicking on the service you want to modify, selecting "Properties" from the popup shortcut menu, and changing the "Startup Type" from "Automatic" to "manual" Note that if you change some services to "manual", you will need to manually start the required services later if you want to use Oracle. Start by right-clicking the name of the service you want to start, and choosing Start 3 from the shortcut menu that pops up. Starting Sql*plus sql*plus is a platform for debugging SQL and PL/SQL. The user can use it to enter, edit, store, extract, and run SQL statements and A/PL program, or you can use the Sql*plus command to manage the database. Requirements: To run Sql*plus, you must start a service named Oracleservicesid, where the SID is the name of the database to be accessed. Run Sql*plus below to test if you can connect to Oracle properly. (1) Click [Start]à[program]à[oracle-orahome92]à[application Development]à[sql*plus] "to enter the Windows interface sql*plus (2) Enter the user name, password, and host string. Where the user name can beis sys, system, or Scott, the host string is the SID of the DB instance to connect to. For example, username input scott, password tiger, host string ORCL. The host string is the same as the global database name specified when oracle9i is installedif the following error message appears: Error:ora-12541:tns: No listener
This is because the listener service does not start up, starting with the [Start]-->[setting]-->[Control Panel]-->[management tool]-->[Service] and starting the service named Oracleorahome92tnslistener. Then enter the user name, password, and host string, and then click the OK button. If the following error message appears: Error: ora-12500:tns: The listener cannot start the private server process This is because the database corresponding service does not start up. Starting with the [Start]-->[setting]-->[Control Panel]-->[Administrative Tools]-->[Service], start a service named Oracleservicesid (SID is the DB instance name). Then enter the user name, password, and host string, and then click the "OK" button after the "sql>" prompt, indicating that you have entered Sql*plus, where you can execute all the SQL statements and the PL/SQL program, you can also execute Sql*plus commands. For example: You can enter the following SQL statement after "sql>": select * from Emp; 4. Start Oem oracle Enterprise Manager, similar to SQL Server, can be used to perform some common database management operations. Preparation: To use the OEM, you need to start two services, one is to connect to the database, the service name is Oracleservicesid, where the SID is the database name, and the other is the listener, The service name is Oracleorahome92tnslistener. Start the OEM below to test if you can connect to the database properly. (1) Click [Start]à[Program]à[oracle]à[enterprise Manager console] to eject the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console dialog box, select "Standalone Startup", click [OK] button to launch the OEM management tool. (2) After you start the OEM, you must first connect to the database, regardless of the action you perform. Right-click "ORCL" under "Database" and select "Connect" from the menu that appears, "Database Connection Information" dialog box (3) Enter the user name, password, and connection identity in the Database Connection Information dialog box. The user name used here can be sys or system, and the connection identity should be "SYSDBA". After entering, click [OK]. At this point, the information about the database appears under "ORCL" in the "routine"The following can manage the state of the DB instance ORCL and memory allocations, and under scenarios you can manage database objects for tables, views, indexes, sequences, synonyms, triggers, stored procedures, and under security, you can manage users, roles, and profiles; The following can manage the physical storage structure and logical storage structure of the database (4) Click the "+" sign in front of "scenario" and a list of all scenarios will appear, where the "+" sign in front of "Scott" will appear, with the tables, indexes, views, etc. that Scott users have. With "Table" selected, all the tables owned by Scott users are listed on the right. Select one of the tables, such as EMP, right-click, select "View/Edit Directory" in the popup shortcut menu, pop up the "Table Editor" dialog (5) In the Table Editor dialog box, you can view the data in the EMP table or add, delete, and modify data in the EMP table. uninstallation of Oracle 9iTo completely uninstall Oracle, you should uninstall it by following the steps below: (1) Open the [Start]->[Settings]->[Control Panel]->[management tool]->[Service] to stop all Oracle-related services. These services may be 9 or more, some of which are in a startup state. To stop the service, select the service you want to stop, right-click and choose "Stop" in the Popup shortcut menu.
(2) Run "Start-> Program->oracle–orahome92->oracle installation products-> Universal Installer", in the pop-up "Welcome" dialog box, click the [Uninstall Product] button, Uninstall Oracle. Select the Oracle product you want to delete, then click the Delete button. If no installed components are displayed, skip this step
(3) Remove the Oracle directory from the registry. Run regedit, open the registry, locate hkey_local_machine\software\oracle from the registry, and press Del to delete the entry
(4) run regedit to delete the Oracle service. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services from the registry, find all Oracle portals from, and remove
(5) Delete the event log from the registry. Open hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\eventlog\applicat-ion to find all items starting with Oracle and remove
(6) Delete the Oracle environment variable. Note that the path to Oracle is also recorded in the system environment variable path, and you need to click [Edit] and then delete the Oracle-related path. (7) Remove the Oracle-related folders from your temp directory. (The Temp directory can be viewed from the "My Computer"-Right-click "Properties"-"advanced" and "environment variables" to see the current user variable and find the value of the variable temp) (8) Check if there is an Oracle menu in the Start menu and delete it if there is one. (9) Remove the program Files\oracle directory from the Windows System installation disk, such as C:\program files\oracle. This directory records the last time that Oracle was installed, which is recorded in each attempt to install Oracle. If you forget to delete, an error occurs when the database is installed. (10) Remove the Oracle installation directory, such as D:\Oracle. If a file hint is being used when you delete it, you should be able to remove it after restarting the computer. Alternatively, you can change the directory of the files that cannot be deleted to another name, and then delete them.(11) Restart the computer. Check "services" after launch to ensure there are no Oracle-related services. To this end, Oracle has been completely uninstalled and is ready for a new installation. Remember, to remove Oracle, simply executing the Oracle uninstaller or simply removing the Oracle directory is not enough, you must clear the Oracle Service and Environment settings information before you can completely unmount the database
