Email server: Internal email server of the company (no attempts have been made to self-set email server)

　1. configuration steps

1. in the TD servers of site administrator, the mail protocol adopts SMTP, and the mail server fills in the company's Mail Server IP (company mail server IP) or domain name, this step can also be entered directly during the installation of TD;

2. In the users of site administrator, add all the people involved in the project. Be sure to enter the email address, which is the email address assigned to you by the company network administrator;

3. In the projects of the background management (site administrator), select a project for which you want to automatically send emails, find the option box before sending defect emails automatically on the right, and check the box;

Many people did not check the email, so they said the email could not be sent.

4. in site config of the background management (site administrator), change the value of mail_interval to 0. In this way, when the defect changes, you can send an email immediately, the background management configuration has been completed;

5. Next, In the custom configuration (customize), select a project that requires automatic email sending and enter the administrator password to go to the custom configuration page;

6. select Chang User properties, enter the full name and email of admin, or add only email. Here, you can enter Admin as the user name, the server part must be the same as the server part of the email you entered when adding a user;

7. Select set up users to add users belonging to the project and check whether the email address of each user is correct;

8. select configure mail and select the trigger field for automatic mail sending, which means that the mail will be sent automatically when a field changes. for example, when the status of the defect changes, the email is automatically sent. select the state field from the field on the left to the right;

9. select configure mail and set the filter condition for receiving emails. It is related to the previous step. The relationship between each condition is as follows. For example, when the status is changed, the email is automatically sent, however, if XXX only wants to receive the bug in the fix state, you can fill in only the fix in the defect field.OthersStatus defects will not be sent to the xxx mailbox;

10. Select set traceability notification and check all the boxes. The configuration in this custom configuration is complete. The focus here is the configuration of configure mail.

1. When creating a project, the name must be in English. Otherwise, the project cannot be automatically sent. If it has already been written in Chinese, it doesn't matter. Simply rename the project.

2. email serverTestIf the email is successfully received by manually sending the email, it indicates that the email server is correct. If automatic mail sending is not yet available, it indicates that other configurations are incorrect, it has nothing to do with the email server;

However, after practice, we found that there was a latency of about 1-5 minutes.

3. On the custom configuration page, enter the admin email address. The specific filling method is described in Article 6 of the step;

Many people think that this is the email server administrator's mailbox, but in fact, you only need to enter your own email address, that is to say, set your email address as administrator.

4. check whether the email address of each user is completely correct. This step is very important. You must check that you have done this before, because a user's email address is wrong, the email cannot be sent automatically, so it took half a day;

5. the last important aspect is the setting of the trigger condition and filter condition. Note that although there is a comment field in the trigger field, this field does not exist in the filter condition field, it may be because the annotation field is text-oriented. It is difficult to control it. It also describes the relationship between the trigger fields. That is to say, as long as one of the fields changes, an email is automatically sent, in the filter condition, each field is related to each other. Only emails that meet the configured conditions will be sent to you.
