Detailed steps for TENDA router upgrade

It is very helpful to know about TENDA router upgrade. Due to the increase in functions and performance, a corresponding upgrade package may be released for each model of TENDA router, the following describes the most frequently used TENDA router upgrades. Download an upgrade package and you can directly upgrade it. The corresponding models include TEI6608S, TEI402M, TEI502M, TEI618SK, TEI6611S, TEI160SK, TEI6624, TEI6617, and TEI619S.

Upgrade procedure:

1. Download the upgrade package of the corresponding model from the website.

2. decompress the upgrade package.

3. Go to the TENDA vro192.168.management interface (192.168.0.1), [System Tools] [software upgrade] [browse] and specify the decompressed upgrade package file [upgrade].

4. After the upgrade, reset the TENDA router once and then reset it.

Note:

1) to view the system version of the current TENDA router, go to the TENDA router Management Interface (192.168.0.1), [System Tools] [software upgrade] [current system version].

2) When downloading the upgrade package, you must use the corresponding version upgrade package corresponding to the TENDA Router model. For example: TEI618SK v2.0 and TEI618SK v3.0 belong to different versions of the same model, their corresponding upgrade package names are: R02-029, T01-062.

To download an upgrade package, you must also use the TFTP Server software. Model: TWL54RR +, TWL541RR +, TWL542RR +, TWL54RR +, tei133, TEI480T, TEI480T +, route, TEI490T +, route host R6000, and route host R6000 +. Upgrade procedure:

1. Download the corresponding model upgrade package and Tenda Tftp Server from the website.

2. decompress the upgrade package and Tenda Tftp Server, and place the two files in the same folder.

4. enter the name of the update package in the TENDA router management interface [System Tools] [software upgrade] [input firmware file.

5. Click [System Tools] [software upgrade] [upgrade] On the TENDA router management interface.

Note:

1) to view the system version of the current TENDA router, go to the vro Management Interface (192.168.0.1), [System Tools] [software upgrade] [Current System Version], for example, V1.2.0.

2) When downloading the upgrade package, you must use the upgrade package corresponding to the TENDA Router model. For example, TWL542R v2.0 and TWL542R do not belong to the same model. Their corresponding upgrade packages are: V1.2.0 and V1.0.7A respectively.
