The arc and arcto functions are the arc-drawing functions under MFC, which are actually formed by intercepting a part from an elliptic.

Arcto (
Lpcrect Lprect
,
Point Ptstart
,
Point Ptend );Here, lprect is the rectangular area to which the arc belongs. The elliptic is generated based on this rectangle. Ptstart and ptend are used to specify the Arc Start Point and end point. The actual Arc Start Point and end point are the intersection points between ptstart/ptend and the geometric center of the rectangle. The difference between Arc and arcto is that the arc function only draws a given arc and does not affect the position of the paint brush; while the arcto function will draw a straight line from the point where the paint brush was originally located to the starting point of the arc. After the painting arc is completed, the paint brush will be moved to the end point of the arc, this affects the position of the paint brush. Arc effect: arcto Effect
