Differences between notebook LCD and LED

The display screen is one of the key hardware of the notebook. Currently, the mainstream screens include LCD and led.

1> LCD features

LCD is the full name of the LCD screen, mainly including TFT, UFB, TFD, STN and other types of LCD display.

TFT is commonly used for notebook LCD screens. A tft screen is a thin film transistor and an LCD display of the Active Matrix type. It is equipped with a special optical tube on its back to actively control individual pixels on the screen. The response time of the tftscreen is about 80 ms, which greatly improves the flickering blur of the STN (200 ms for the STN response time) and effectively improves the ability of playing dynamic images.
Compared with the STN screen, TFT has excellent color saturation, Restoration Capability and higher contrast, which is still very clear in the sun. The disadvantage is that it consumes a lot of power and costs a lot.

2> led features

LED is the abbreviation of light emitting diode. LEDs can be divided into two categories: one is the single-tube application of LED, including back-light LED, infrared LED, and so on; the other is the LED display.
An LED display is a display device consisting of LEDs. It is driven by low-voltage scanning and has the following features: low power consumption, long service life, low cost, high brightness, less fault, large angle of view, and long visual distance.

Differences between LCD and led:

Compared with LCD display, LED displays have more advantages in brightness, power consumption, visual angle, and refresh rate. The power consumption ratio of led to LCD is about, the refresh speed of the LED screen is higher, the performance of the video is better, and the angle of width can reach 160 °, it can display a variety of text, numbers, color images and animation information, as well as play TV, video, VCD, DVD and other color video signals.
The reaction speed of a single element on the LED display screen is 1000 times that of the LCD screen. The light is still very clear and can adapt to the low temperature of minus 40 degrees. Using LED technology, you can create a display that is thinner, brighter, and clearer than the LCD.

LCD and led are two different display technologies. LCD is a display composed of liquid crystals, while LED is a display composed of light emitting diodes. Compared with LCD display, LED displays have more advantages in brightness, power consumption, visual angle, and refresh rate.
