Differentiate the priorities of Enterprise meetings and process management

Meetings are the most effective means to solve problems, promote work, and improve work efficiency. However, management fails if it is impossible to carry out the work without relying on meetings. Especially for enterprises with a certain history and scale, meetings cannot be the main means to carry out their work. When everything is driven by meetings, the enterprise's systems, standards, and processes will certainly not play much role. When an enterprise employee develops a "Conference dependency", the system, standards, and procedures become even less effective.
Why are managers addicted to meetings? Because we can communicate with each other face to face and help you find a solution. If you cannot solve the problem, you may feel at ease: You have no idea how to solve it. How can I solve it by myself? Therefore, the meeting has reduced personal responsibilities and made everyone become "irresponsible. Some managers do not know what else they can do if they do not have a meeting!
The meeting is indeed simple and quick to solve the problem. However, do you have any ideas about the preparation time for the meeting? In order to wait for the Meeting to solve the problem, the work being done by the handleguard pauses and waits for the time spent in solving the problems at the meeting. After the meeting, sort out the meeting records and follow up the meeting resolutions ...... If we carefully calculate all the time spent before and after the meeting, especially the waiting time for "Wait for the meeting to be resolved", you will find how high the "meeting cost" is! How much time can the problem be solved if everyone is responsible according to their responsibilities ?!
Some may say: we have to wait for a meeting! There are numerous problems, numerous cases, no meetings, managers are overwhelmed, no meetings, employees do not know what to do, no meetings, enterprises are about to stop running, not meeting? I can only say that this is the consequence of not focusing on implementing the system, standardizing processes, or establishing standards, but mainly relying on conference management enterprises to "accumulate labor and disease.
If an enterprise requires and develops a habit that a meeting can be held only when the problem must be solved, the routine work will allow supervisors and employees at all levels to follow the rules, procedures and standards to perform their duties, enterprise meetings will be greatly reduced and work efficiency will be greatly improved.
The short-term effect of meeting solutions is remarkable, but enterprise development must pursue long-term benefits and sustainable results. The meeting should be organized and arranged around the long-term development of enterprises. The meeting should be a supplement to the execution system. In the event of new circumstances and new problems, the enterprise has no regulations, standards, and procedures, then, the role of the meeting is to formulate a system, establish standards, and improve processes. If there are systems, standards, and processes that are not executed, what the meeting should do is to punish those who are not executors and take effect! In short, the meeting either establishes a system, standard, and process, or promotes implementation of systems, standards, and processes. It is better to leave the meeting open if it is always a regular discussion of routine affairs.
There are too many meetings, too many supervisors, too many employees, and the efficiency is low. To get rid of the vicious circle brought about by inefficient meetings, we must change the way of enterprise management, reduce enterprise meetings, and lead process management. To change the management mode, we should first start from meeting management, manage the topics and processes of various meetings, control the meeting time and personnel, and reduce the meeting frequency, hold on to any meeting that can be opened. The more standard the process is, the enterprise's meetings must be brief.
There is no conflict between the meeting and the process itself. An organized meeting itself is a good process, and the process runs normally and cannot be promoted by the Meeting. However, if a company uses conference management as the main method and means, its processes will be inefficient or even chaotic. The more meetings there are, the less time it takes to work according to the process. The more meetings there are, the less likely the process will be executed, because the staff's working hours are occupied by meetings. The more meetings there are, there are many opportunities to take shortcuts, and the process is likely to be ignored or forgotten. Facts also prove that the more standard the process is, the fewer and fewer meetings are; more and more companies are meeting, and the process is getting messy. Taking an injection to take medicine can restore your health. If a person takes medicine with an injection, I am afraid the body will never be healthy. A meeting is like taking an injection to take medicine. It can solve the problem quickly, but a business cannot expect the meeting to solve everything. The process is like a person's main food in an enterprise. Sometimes a meal is not enough. If you don't eat for a long time, even if you don't die, it's not far from death. To maintain the long-term development of an enterprise, it is a standardized and orderly process, rather than a meeting for taking injections and medicines.
Excessive process management from meeting management as the main means to full implementation of process management is inevitable for enterprise management.
