Disk Management error: "RPC Server Unavailable" workaround

Failure phenomena:

When a user enters Disk Management to partition a disk, change a drive letter, or compress a volume, an error occurs: "The RPC server is unavailable."

Cause Analysis:

According to the error information to observe the RPC service is started status, indicating that the error is also related to other services.

This serves the purpose of locating the virtual Disk Service: Providing management services for disks, volumes, file systems, and storage arrays.

Solution:

After observing that the Virtual Disk service was deactivated, restart the service problem resolution.

Note:

If the virtual Disk service is in a running state, and Disk Manager still has an error, you can restart the service (pictured) and then reopen Disk Management (quick way to open Disk Management: Win+r input diskmgmt.msc in run)
