DNS is the domain name resolution system. It can convert an IP address to a domain name or an IP address.
1. Install DNS
Start> set> Control Panel> Add/deleteProgram-> Add/delete Windows Components-> "Network Services"-> select "Domain Name Service System (DNS)"-> install the service as determined
2. Create a DNS positive phase resolution Region
Start> program> Administrative Tools> select DNS, open the DNS console-> right-click "area to be searched"-> select "New Area"-> select "Standard main area" (or "Active Directory integration area" or "standard auxiliary area "") --> enter the domain name "abc.com"-> enter the name of the region to be saved as "abc.com. DNS "-> press finish to complete the creation
Create host records:
Right-click "abc.com"-> "New Host"-> enter "www" in the name, enter "192.168.0.3" in the "ip address", and press "add host" to complete
3. Create a DNS reverse resolution Region
Start> program> Administrative Tools> select DNS, open the DNS console-> right-click "reverse search region"-> select "new region"-> select "Standard main region"-> enter the "Network ID" used to mark the region-> "-〉 enter the name of the region to be saved as "0.168.192.in-ADDR. ARPA. DNS "-> press finish to complete the creation
Create pointer PTR:
Right-click "192.168.1.x.subnet"-> select "New Pointer"-> enter 2 in "Host IP number"-> enter FTP in "Host Name"-and press "OK" to add
4. Enable DNS reuse
for example, if www.abc.com corresponds to multiple IP addresses, the DNS resolution sequence varies with each time.
right-click and select "DNS server"-> "-〉 property> advanced> select "enable loop" (Round Robin) --> select "enable netmask sorting"-> return by "OK"
Note: If all IP addresses and domain name servers are in the same subnet, you must disable "enable netmask sorting ", in order to achieve the loop reuse function. That is, when the cycle is enabled, when the host's IP address and DNS address are always at the top of the same subnet, and when both are in one subnet, the cycle is not implemented, circular reuse can be realized only when "enable netmask sorting" is removed.
the DNS server first returns records with the same network ID to the client.
5. Create a standard secondary area for DNS region replication
on another DNS server, right-click "Forward search region"-> select "new region"-> select "standard secondary region"-> enter "abc.com"-> enter the IP address of the Primary Domain Name Server-> select" completed "
synchronization required manually:
on the secondary Domain Name Server, right-click the domain name "abc.com"> select "transfer from primary server"
and you can set the domain name server that allows transmission:
on the Primary Domain Name Server, right-click the domain name of "abc.com"> select "properties"> select "region copy"> check before "allow replication, select the host that can be copied (to all servers, only the servers listed on the "name servers" tab, and only the following servers allowed)
to convert the server type:
right-click the region and choose "property"> select "change" for "type"> select the region type to be changed-> press "OK"
6. Implement DNS-only high-speed cache server
Create a DNS server without any region-> right-click DNS server-> select "property"-> select "reseller" in "enable forwarder"-> enter the IP address of the forwarder-> press "OK" to complete
clear the cache content in "only cache:
right-click "DNS server"-> select "Clear cache"
or select "DNS server"-> select "View" from the menu ", advanced-> right-click "cache search"-> select "Clear cache" client to clear DNS Cache-) ipconfig/flushdns
7. DNS delegation (subdomain redirection)
Create a host named "subdomain.abc.com" on the original Domain Name Server-> right-click the domain of abc.com, select "new delegate"-> delegate the domain of subdomain.abc.com to the host of subdomain.abc.com-> Create a "forward standard region" subdomain.abc.com-> On subdomain.abc.com to add relevant host records
8. Set dynamic updates for DNS regions
Right-click the region on DNS> select "properties"> select "allow dynamic update" in "General ", select-> and then press "OK"-> on the local DHCP server-> right-click and select DHCP server-> select "properties"-> select "DNS"-> select" enable update for DNS customers that do not support dynamic updates "-> Use ipconfig/registerdns on the client to update domain name registration information
Note that the client must change the complete computer name to myhost.abc.com.
9. Configure the DNS Client
Open the TCP/IP properties dialog box on the client computer and enter the IP address of the DNS server in the address bar of the DNS server.
Up to 12 DNS servers can be configured manually
