DNS query command host

Source: Internet
Author: User

Description:

The Host Command provides a simple DNS resolution function. It is normal to use name-to-IP resolution. When the command does not have any parameters or options, it will output a simple summary with command line parameters and options.

The name is a domain name that can be resolved, or an IPv4 address in dotted-decimal format or an IPv6 address separated by a colon. By default, the name can also be used for reverse resolution, DNS servers have both names and IP addresses. Host queries can replace them, or they can be listed in/etc/resolv. CONF file.

Example:

# Host www.baidu.com
Www.baidu.com is an alias for www.a.shifen.com.
Www.a.shifen.com has address 220.181.111.188
Www.a.shifen.com has address 220.181.112.244
