Does emule support using UPnP?

The 0.48a version of emule supports UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), which helps to easily configure the routers and firewalls that support UPnP. If emule can configure the required port forwarding to the router with UPnP, there is no need to care about port forwarding because emule will solve all the problems. To test if the system supports UPnP, go to the first page of the "EMule Wizard" Connection page (click on the "Tools" menu => "emule First Run Wizard") and click the "Use UPnP to set port" button.

emule will test UPnP first and then prompt for success. If it fails, read the next section to learn how to manually set up port forwarding, which should only be read here. You can turn on or off UPnP at any time through the Options menu => the Connection dialog box.
