Although Excel can produce charts that are needed for everyday use, it is "powerless" for some of the more demanding complex charts. SigmaPlot makes it easy to make more complex charts, and charts can be embedded in software such as Word, PowerPoint, and so on.
Example Description: Make a double y axis column, linear Sales chart, the column represents sales, linear graph represents growth rate (Figure 1).
1. Chart production data advance
Graphs are not dependent on data support. Open the SigmaPlot 12.3 Chinese version, create a new notebook, and click the "Import File" button in the worksheet to import the data saved in Excel into the data 1*. If the data column is too bad to distinguish, you can right-click the column label, select column headings, and change the headings for each column. Data can also be entered manually in "Data 1*".
2. Column chart easy to do
After the data is imported, you can make a column chart. Select the simple vertical bar under column of the Create Graph tab. In the Data Format window, select XY, and in the Select Data window, select data x:1-month, data bar: 2-Sales, and click Finish (Figure 2).
Small tip:
When you select data, you can also use the mouse to click the corresponding column in the datasheet.
3. The linear chart inserts skillfully
When the column chart is finished, insert a linear chart. Right-click in the blank space of the column chart, select "Add New Drawing", select "line Drawing" in the pop-up window, select "Single line" in the Curve style window, select "XY pair" in the Data Format window, select "Data x:1-month", "Data y:3-growth rate", click "Finish".
When you finish adding a linear chart, right-click it, and select "Add New Axis". Select "Draw 2" in the Pop-up Add Axis window, select "Y axis" in the next window, and after the next step, select "Right" in the window (that is, the newly added axis on the right) and click "Finish" (Figure 3).
4. Graphic decoration Add Luster
After two charts have been made, use the property browser on the right to decorate the pages with objects such as headings, axis labels, legends, chart colors, and so on (Figure 4).
Finally, insert Graphs into Word, Paste to PowerPoint slide in the Toolbox tab to add the prepared chart to Word or PPT.
