Draw a E-R diagram in Visio

Entity Relationship diagrams is the most common tool in conceptual structure design. With Visio you can easily draw a E-R diagram.

In the "Basic flowchart shape" ("file"-> "shape"-> "flowchart"-> "Basic flowchart shape") that comes with Visio, there are rectangles (the label is "process"), Diamond (the label is "judgment"), and elliptical (the label is "Terminator "). They can be easily used to represent entities, relationships, and attributes.

 

 

One-to-multiple relationships can be expressed by setting the connection line attributes. Draw a "dynamic connection line" and select, right-click, and select "format"-> line. The line window appears. In the "end" drop-down box of "Line End", select an arrow that represents a one-to-many relationship. Here I am numbered 27. If you think the default image is not easy to view, you can also set it. For example, set the fill color. Select the image, and choose format> Add ".
