Download Discord for Linux
First go to Discord's website. The website should be able to automatically detect the Linux you are running and suggest the correct package in the middle of the page.
If not, just scroll down a bit. The next section of the page shows other available downloads, and the Linux package is there.
After you find the download link for Linux, check to see if "Deb" is selected, and then click the "Download" button.

The browser will ask you to open or download the file using Ubuntu software installer. You can choose any one, but it is quicker to open automatically with the software installer.

The download is fast, so the installer will open immediately and allow you to install the newly downloaded package. This is a very simple window, no beautiful icons or a lot of descriptive text, so don't hesitate. This is normal. Click Install to start the installation.
