Last week, I changed the ds4300 dual-controller battery at the customer's office. After all, this is the first time. I am so worried about any problems that may cause data loss.
Follow these steps:
SM software before operationBackupDs4300 StorageOfProfile fileAndCollect all data...
1. Make a logical backup (it took about one week)
2. Stop the Oracle database (stop the cluster on AIX: Smit clstop) to prevent operations on stored data
3,Two controllers of ds4300 can be connected at the same time, and two controllers and Management machines can be connected by a switch.
4. Open the SM management software and check that controller B has several raid
5. Switch the raid on controller B to Controller A, and then the offline controller B (confirm that the raid has been switched to Controller A, so it is best to record what has been switched to Controller ), the host light of controller B will be dropped.
6. Unscrew the screws of controller B, perform live-loading operations, unplug controller B, replace the battery, and plug the battery back (it is also charged ). Wait a few minutes and then use the SM software to connect the B controller online.
7. After the operation is normal, you can operate Controller A. The operation steps are similar.
8. Finally, switch the corresponding array to the previous controller.
9. Success
Note: Be sure to perform the live-loading operation. Otherwise, the storage may fail if it does not match.
