It's a regular thing to work with text and graphics in Word, such as writing a product referral or a brochure or something. However, it is cumbersome to number the charts that you insert in a Word document. If you add or delete or move the middle of a chart, it is necessary to change all the subsequent charts, not trouble?
In fact, we can use Word's Insert caption function to implement the automatic numbering of charts.
In Word click menu command "Insert → reference → caption". In the Caption dialog box that opens, click the Insert Caption automatically button. In the Add caption on Insert list, select the type of object you want to automatically number, and in the Use Label list, select an existing label.
If the label you supplied is not appropriate for your needs, you can also click the New Label button on the right in Word, type a new label in the Label box, and then click OK. In the Location list, select the location where the label appears. Click on the "OK" button.
Now we can safely insert the chart and Word will automatically label it. When you no longer need to insert the caption feature automatically, just open the dialog box for the performer's subject note again, and then clear the check box for the object that does not need to be automatically numbered.
If you delete or move one of the charts in Word, the labels for the other charts will automatically change as well. If you don't change it automatically, you can select all the documents in Word, and then select Update Fields from the right-click menu. Note that when you delete or move a chart, you should delete the original label.
