If you want to prevent family bear children from messing around on your computer, it's not enough to set up a guest account. Although it can protect your system disk, it has no protection against other hard disk partitions. At this point, the partition encryption feature can come in handy. The ability to turn on partition encryption on your Mac is actually very simple, and the steps are as follows:
1. Open finder;
2. Right-click the name of the partition in the sidebar;
3. Select Encrypt ' XXX (partition name) ';
4. Enter the password, then enter it again, and finally set a password hint;
5. Click "Encrypt Disk".
The disk partition that you select is then encrypted, depending on the size of the disk and how much of it is in it. Once the encryption is complete, you can only see the contents of it by entering a pre-set password. When you use the master account, you can choose to add the password to the keychain to avoid repeating the input every time.
