Small series has always wanted to do a win7winxpwinpedos 4in1 multi-functional system installation disk, recently collected a lot of information on the Internet, and combining their own practice and groping, yesterday finally made use of Easyboot completed the wish. Now write down the process and share it with you.

First, preparatory work

First, please prepare the following system resources and tool software.

System resources:

1. Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x86)

2. Windows XP Pro SP3

3. Windows PE Old Peaches Edition

4. Maxdos 8.0 (*.img format)

Tool Software:

1. Easyboot

2. UltraISO

3. Photoshop

4. VirtualBox (test the production of the CD image ISO can start normally. )

5. Nero (use a burner to burn the prepared disc image and spare it later.) )

Second, the production process

1. Understand easyboot, and make CD background picture

1) Install Easyboot.

Easyboot when installing, try to select a drive with larger disk surplus space, because the subsequent need to store the CD-ROM file in the Easyboot subdirectory;

2 understand the Easyboot directory structure.

I installed the easyboot under the Soft folder under D disk, the installer automatically establishes the following directories:

D:softeasybootdisk1 boot CD file directory is the root of the ISO image we are going to make

D:softeasybootdisk1ezboot boot Menu file directory, is the CD-ROM menu, boot file, IMG image storage location

D:softeasybootiso output ISO file directory, in the production of ISO, save the path can be changed

3 The setting up of the CD-ROM start background.

First use Photoshop to process the picture into the size you want and then save as a BMP image to choose 24, or use other methods to do a BMP picture, when the image is not distorted, then you are using Macromedia Fireworks to open the image in the Export Wizard to select BMP 8-bit, color selection 256, jitter 100%, to determine the export at this time the exported picture is basically not distorted, and 100% can be used.

2. Extract files and boot files from the disc image with UltraISO

1 Win XP file extraction and save the boot file.

Use UltraISO to open the prepared Win XP image file and extract the SETUP. EXE, AUTORUN. INF file to the EasyBootdisk1 directory, it is also said that only need to extract all files in the I386 folder directory, WIN51, Win51ip, Win51ip. SP3 is OK. After testing, the former extraction method produced by the CD in the installation of XP will be black screen for about 10 seconds, the latter will not. So try to choose the maximum degree of retention of the original image file. After the extraction, click on the "Start" menu-> Save the boot file, the win XP boot file to winxp.bif file name (easy to easyboot menu in the production of command calls) saved to the *easybootdisk1ezboot directory.

2) Win7 files to extract and save the boot file.

Continue to extract the Win7 disc image in addition to SETUP, referring to the Win XP file extraction method. EXE, AUTORUN. INF file EasyBootdisk1 directory (PS: There is no need to create a new folder to store Win7 system files, but to put all files directly under the Ezboot directory), and then save the Win7 boot file for win7.bif to The Easybootdisk1ezboot directory.

3 Win PE file extract and save boot file.

Win PE extract except AUTO. INF file, the boot file is named winpe.bif and placed in the appropriate directory.

4) Add DOS.

Save the Maxdos.img to the Easybootdisk1ezboot directory (note not disk1 directory), is said to use only the IMG format DOS system files, after my test directly to the ISO conversion to IMG can not boot success. I'm using a MaxDOS8 file from someone else's IMG format, see the download link above.

Here, 4in1 disc of the system files are basically added up, not at ease can be checked again, whether there are omissions. The following starts the Configuration CD boot menu.

3. Configure CD Boot Menu

In the Control Panel menu bar tab, with the background picture and the operating system represented by the current menu bar, the command entered in the Execute Command box corresponds to the following:

Windows 7 Menu Bar 1 Execute command: Run win7.bif

Windows XP menu bar 2 Execute command: Run winxp.bif

Windows PE menu bar 3 Execute command: Run winpe.bif

Maxdos 8 Menu Bar 4 Execute command: Run maxdos.img

Hard Drive boot menu bar 5 execute command: Boot 80

Restart menu Bar 4 Execute command: Reboot

Power off menu Bar 4 Execute command: Bcdw:poweroff

Return to the "Files" tab and click Save.

4. Make ISO

Under the Files tab, click Make ISO to eject the make ISO dialog box, the label can fill in the name of the disc you want (no Chinese), the ISO output location can be changed to the location you specify, the output path of the remaining capacity to at least save your generated ISO image, the rest of the options I did not move, Unless you are familiar with the role of each option or you can test more than a few times, otherwise try to keep the default settings. Click Make and wait for the ISO image file to be generated.

5. Test ISO

I tested it under VirtualBox, all through. Note that testing XP and WIN7 throughout the installation (it's OK to test boot startup), you need to set up a corresponding virtual machine for Win7 and XP (VB is so, I am not very clear). During my testing, XP could not be installed properly in a virtual environment created for Win7. Paste two test charts, Win7 and XP, as well as the old Peaches PE classics do not paste, we are more familiar with.

6. Burn ISO

The process to burn this morning to be done, the thought is to burn the disc, yesterday, and bought a special from Beijing east to write DVD r+, and even the night also tore down the burner to check bald, and finally found it is Nero, or the official version of the original installation is more reliable.

Third, frequently asked questions

1. What if there are SETUP.EXE and Autorun.inf files in the *easybootdisk1 directory?

Boot failed. Which Win7 hint: cdboot:could ' t find bootmgr. Xp,pe can not lead to success.

2. Win7 (including SP1) and XP SP3 can be merged directly?

Can be merged directly, Win7 and XP have only one file with the same name in the same directory, that is, the Gbunicn.exe under the SupportTools directory. This is a language conversion tool, want to replace the lower version of the high version, should not be a problem. "Reference: Also need to pay attention to is the folder merge problem, the folder of the same name is good to do, a hodgepodge copy together can." Folders with the same name need to be aware of all of a sudden, if no file of the same name exists in it, overwriting can, if there is a file with the same name inside, need to pay attention to this file name, if it is the same name but complementary functions such as. IMG image, you need to modify the file name, and then start the menu RUN when the corresponding changes, if it is the same function, you do not have to ignore, cover can be.

3. Why not put Win7, XP, PE in the *easybootdisk1 directory under the corresponding folder?

No need, because Win7 and WinXP have almost no identical files, one is the Gbunicn.exe under the SupportTools directory.

4. What files can be deleted under Easybootdisk1ezboot?

I did not delete one, you can try to use the boot file is not used to delete, so that the CD more "clean."

5. Does Win XP use W2ksect.bin to guide you?

I am using Ultraliso to make the BIF boot file, in fact, all the same, but to note whether the extension is bin, or BIF, size should be 2048 bytes, if not, change the attention.
