Emacs Uppercase and lowercase conversions

• Process the second half of the word starting at the cursor position

1. Capitalize-word (M-C); Capitalize the first letter of the word
2. Upcase-word (m-u); Capitalize entire word
3. Downcase-word (M-L); Turn the whole word into lowercase (note that this is meta-l (* Small Letter L))

• Process the first half of the word starting at the cursor position

1. Negtive-argument; Capitalize-word (m--m-c); Capitalize the first letter of the word
2. Negtive-argument; Upcase-word (m--m-u); Capitalize entire word
3. Negtive-argument; Downcase-word (m--m-l); The entire word is converted to lowercase

• Change the case of the selected area

1. Downcase-region (C-x c-l); Change all selected areas to lowercase
2. Upcase-region (C-x c-u); Change all selected areas to uppercase
