These two days when writing a paper, using the IEEE CLS template, when using endnote to export references to bib encountered some problems, here to record
First of all, the format of the output reference can be set in endnote, and the Edit->output Style->open Style Manager defines a number of output formats here, which are already checked to output.
If you want to use in latex, you need to use the BibTeX format, you can directly select this format, modify a bit, probably because endnote in order to keep the default, in the closing time will pop up a dialog box, ask you whether you are creating a new format, select Yes, And then give you just modified name to write a name on it, here I have a name called Ieeetrans_latex, and then can be based on their actual needs in this basis to modify, modified to close later can be.
Set the format of the output using which, edit->output style then there will be several previously checked, also including Ieeetrans_latex, choose this.
Output reference, select the reference that needs to be output, file->export, the idea is that the output style must be selected as the format you want
This allows you to format the output as needed, create a new file in the Winedit, and then copy the output, save it as Xxx.bib, and then in Tex

/cite{} where it's needed to be applied.
If you are using the IEEE CLS, the use of CLS and BST is described in more detail in two howto PDFs. Easy to use the template to write papers
In the cite, you need to set the label, this label can be set in endnote, the label cannot have spaces
The order in which the PDFs are generated is latex->bib->latex->latex->dvi to PDF, Bib->latex to PDF
