When the system encounters a problem, some operations must enter the safe mode. By default, You need to press the F8 key when the Start menu appears. If you miss it, you can only restart it, especially when the Start menu is displayed for a short time. In fact, we can integrate it into the boot menu, so that you do not have to worry about entering the security mode, just click the mouse to enter!
XP users perform this operation
First, start-run. Enter msconfig to start the system configuration.ProgramSwitch to the boot. ini tab, select "safeboot" in "Boot options", and select the startup parameters next to it to set the safe mode startup mode. For example, if you select "minimal" (minimum startup mode), the system enters the "safe mode" of the first menu after pressing F8 ".
Use NotePad to open the "C: \ Boot. ini" file. You can see that the above security mode is actually adding the "/safeboot: Minimal" parameter after the original Start Menu. Copy this line nowCode, Return to the system configuration application window, and deselect the "safeboot" check box. Open "C: \ Boot. INI, paste the above Code, change the startup name to "safe mode", and set "timeout = 5", that is, set the wait time of the Startup menu to 5 seconds. In this way, the System user will wait for 5 seconds after the next startup. Select "security mode" to directly enter the security mode. Of course, if you want to enter the Advanced startup Item, press F8.
For Windows 7 users
Because the BCD configuration file is used in the Windows 7 boot menu, we only need to add the security mode menu to the BCD file. You can use "bcdtool" to edit BCD files.
Start "bcdtool", enable "C: \ Boot \ BCD", and then expand to "Windows Start Manager-Windows Start loader ", click "edit-copy startup Item" in the menu bar to copy the current startup item to the list. After selecting the copy startup Item, double-click "Description" in the right pane to open it and change its name to "security mode ".
After the "security mode" menu is successfully added, start the "System Configuration Utility" as an administrator, switch to the "Boot" tab, and select the security mode, select "Security Boot" under "Boot options", select "minimum", and set the timeout value to "5" seconds. In this way, you can add the security mode to the BCD menu.
Now, when restarting again, you can directly select "safe mode" in the boot menu, or press F8 to enter the original advanced boot menu within 5 seconds.
