You do not need to upgrade to Internet Explorer 11. We can use inetres. ADM of Internet Explorer 11. If you have installed Internet Explorer 11, the management template files (interes. admx and inetres. adml) are automatically installed and do not need to be downloaded from the above link. However, for DC servers that do not have Internet Explorer 11 installed, You need to download the management template of Internet Explorer 11 and install it manually as follows:

Windows Server 2003:

    1. Copy inetres. ADM to % WinDir % \ INF \
    2. Open Group Policy Editor
    • Click Start, click Run, enter gpedit. msc, and click OK.
    • Extends the Local Computer Policy and the computer configuration.
    • Right-click Administrative Templates. If you see the inetres template in the list, click Delete, and then click Close.
    • On the Administrative Templates page, right-click the template and select Add/Remove templates. Click Add and select inetres. ADM under % WinDir % \ INF \. Click Open to add. Click Close.

Windows Server 2012 R2:

Internet Explorer 11 management template files (interes. admx and inetres. adml) are installed.

Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1:

    1. If Internet Explorer 11 is installed, the management template file (interes. admx and inetres. adml) is automatically installed.
    2. For domain controllers that do not have Internet Explorer 11 installed, refer to the section below

Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2:

AndWindows Server 2008 R2 SP1Follow these steps to manually install the agent:

In Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista group policies, if you modify the management template policy settings on the local computer, sysvol will not be automatically updated with the new admx or adml file (the adml file is an XML-based ADM file containing specific language settings ). This modification is used to reduce network load and disk storage requirements. When you edit the management template policy settings in different language Environments, conflicts between the admx file and the adml file are prevented.

To ensure that updates anywhere are reflected in sysvol:

You must manually copy the new admx or adml file from the policydefinitions folder on the local computer to the sysvol \ policydefinitions folder on the corresponding domain controller.
