ENVI 5 adopts a new software interface to enhance the overall user experience. ENVI 5 is started, as shown in. It consists of menu items, toolbar, layer management, toolbox, and status bar. Is it a bit like ArcMap.

1. toolbox
There is a toolbox on the right of the ENVI 5 interface, which integrates the classic ENVI menu tool. Click the small icon in the upper right corner to float the toolbox.
There is a search box at the top of the toolbox. Fuzzy search is supported.

2. Image window
In the layers manager, there is an optional button "Overview" to open the eagleeye chart of the entire view. The eagleeye chart has a positioning rectangle to facilitate browsing the specified area.

Select menu views and select multiple view display modes. Different layers can be loaded for each view and independent operation tools are available. You can use the geographic link tool to link multiple views to display the same geographical location.

3. Portal
Right-click a layer in the layer manager and select display in portal. In a small window, you can display the layer data on the top layer, as shown in Figure 5.

4. Classic operation interface
For ease of use, ENVI 5 retains the classic menu + three windows operation interface.
