Example of converting a ThinkPad notebook into an active partition during partitioning

 

When using a compressed volume to create a partition, the following message may appear:

 

 

This problem occurs because the MBR system only supports four primary partitions,Do not click OK after this prompt appears, otherwise the system will not be able to enterTo solve this problem:

 

Method 1: Delete a sleep partition

 

Click Start & mdash; all programs & mdash; attachments, right-click a command prompt, and select & ldquo; run as Administrator & rdquo;

 

 

Enter the command diskpart to adjust the partition.

 

 

Enter the command list disk to check the hard disks installed on the computer.

 

 

Select the disk installed by the system, which is usually disk0. Enter the sel disk 0 command.

 

 

Enter the list par command to query existing partitions.

 

 

Select the target sleep partition sel par 4 (type: OEM, size: 7XXXMB is the sleep partition to be deleted, usually the fourth partition, if not, enter the corresponding partition number. Otherwise, the system may fail to start normally)

 

 

Run del par override to delete a sleep partition.

 

 

Run the exit command to exit the partition.

 

 

Enter exit again to close the window

 

 

After a sleep partition is deleted, the disk status in disk management is shown in the following figure.

 

 

Method 2: delete the Q disk

 

Note: delete QThe one-click recovery function after the disk and the ability to create and restore media are invalid. We recommend that you use method 1 or create a restoration disc before deletion.

 

Double-click the Q disk to bring up the disk recovery page. Click & ldquo; recover drive Space & rdquo; on the right;

 

 

Click & ldquo; Yes & rdquo; continue (Note: Before clicking & ldquo; Yes & rdquo;, make sure that you have created a recovery disc or restored it.UDisk)

User Account Control reminder, Click & ldquo; Yes & rdquo; continue

 

 

After you click it, the window will disappear, and then you can view disk management. The Q disk space is automatically merged with drive C.
