When you press ENTER in the currently active cell when you edit the Excel 2007 worksheet, the adjacent cells below become the next active cell. However, at some particular moment, you want to press Enter and the adjacent cell to the right becomes the active cell. What should we do? Good, because the following actions allow you to select any one of the neighborhood to become the active cell.
1. Click Microsoft Office buttons, and then click Excel Options. Click Advanced, under Edit, select the move selection after the Enter key check box, and then in the direction box, select the direction you want to be the active cell, such as right, and OK.
Now that you have finished editing a cell in the Excel 2007 worksheet, press ENTER, and the insertion point moves to the right cell. Perhaps you don't want to make changes to the default settings for Excel 2007, just temporarily change the moving direction of the active cell, then try the following keys:
Shift+enter key--upward;
TAB key--right;
Shift+tab Key--left.
So, what's the next cell you need to become the active cell, you're completely in control of it.
