Excel uses the NOW function function to return the current time

Source: Internet
Author: User
Tags current time

The NOW function returns the serial number of the current date and time. If the cell format is general before you enter the function, Excel changes the cell format to the same format as the date and time format specified in the regional date and time setting in Control Panel. You can change the date and time format by using commands in the number group on the Start tab of the Ribbon.

  The NOW function syntax is:

Now ()

No parameters

Tips:

The number on the right of the decimal number indicates the time, and the number on the left indicates the date. For example, the serial number 0.5 indicates that the time is 12:00 noon.

The result of the now function changes only when the worksheet is calculated or when the macro that contains the function is run. It does not continue to be updated.
