Excel2000 How to filter data automatically:
To see the data in a list that meets certain criteria, such as who has a business contact with the company this month, use a screening method to find out what the data is. Filter a list to find and work with subsets of data in a list. Filters show only rows that contain a value or match a set of criteria, and hide other rows.
Chinese Excel 2000 provides two commands for filtering: AutoFilter and Advanced filter.
The AutoFilter command meets most of your needs, and you can consider using the Advanced Filter command when you need to use complex criteria to filter the list.
In order to use the AutoFilter command, you can follow these steps:
Step one, see Figure 12, select the filter command from the data Drop-down menu, and then select AutoFilter from the Filter submenu.

Note: If you do not currently have a cell in the selected list, or if you do not activate any cells that contain data, an error message appears and prompts you to do so after you select the AutoFilter command. Similar operations can occur elsewhere.
After that, the columns in the first row of the list will display a Drop-down button, as shown in Figure 13, which is used by the AutoFilter.

You can easily select and view data records by using the column-subscript drop-down list shown in Figure 13.
For example, this step is to view an employee with a pay amount of 800 yuan, which is displayed on the screen when the operation is finished, as shown in Figure 15, which is the result of the AutoFilter.
