Excel2010 change the location in which AutoRecover files are saved

When you work with Excel, you may experience a situation where you accidentally shut down without saving, and the program saves the closed workbook based on the default automatic save interval and the saved location after the restore.

The automatic save location is the default for the program, and if you want to find the automatically saved workbook more easily, the user can change it to a common save path, with the following actions:

First, open the File option and go to the Excel Options dialog box, as shown in:

Click the Save tab in the Excel Options dialog box to display the default save location in the AutoRecover file location text box in the Save Workbook column, which users can change to a more convenient location, as shown in the figure:

Skill Tip: Prerequisites for automatic recovery of files

If the file is closed without saving, the automatically saved file is not found in the set AutoRecover save location. This is most likely because the Save Workbook tab of the Excel Options dialog box has unchecked the "if I closed without saving, keep the last automatically retained version" check box. Select the check box to perform automatic recovery.

In addition, you can set the save interval in the "Save AutoRecover information is interval" value box, and AutoSave will be saved at set intervals, as shown in the previous illustration.
