Excel 2016 to help the powerful "fast fill" function, can be free of functions, formula-free, to achieve rapid batch data extraction, merging, transposition, add, and other operations. Talk less, or on the point of the example to speak it!
Instance 1: Auto-extract extracts the size, length, quantity, respectively, from a long string of part fields
Instance 2: Auto-pull + merge extracts last names and positions and merges into another field
Example 3: "Auto-transposition" reverses the position of a Chinese-English text string in a cell
Example 4: "Automatic extraction + transform + merge" Complete names are added in Hanyu Pinyin, and the initial letter is required to be capitalized.
Instance 5: "Add automatically" to add a separator symbol to the middle of a string
The above case is illustrated in Excel version 2016 of the intelligent AutoFill method:
Manually fill the contents of the first two or the first three cells as shown in the diagram scheme, and then automatically fill in the subsequent content after carriage.
Example 6: "Automatic extraction + change format" automatically extracts the date of birth from the ID card
Excel version 2016 Intelligent Automatic Filling method:
Use Excel 2016 "quick fill" to first set the format of the destination column before populating it. Open the Format Cells dialog box, switch to the Number tab, select the Custom category, select Yyyy/mm/dd on the right side, and then close the dialog box after confirming. Then manually enter the date of birth in your ID number in the target cell, select the range of cells you want to quickly fill, and press the "Ctrl+e" key combination to see the effect as shown in the figure.
Is that it?
Just a few of the most common cases of autofill are listed above. In fact, in a table autofill practice, there is much more to be used for automatic filling. As long as you can manually give the first 3 cases (some just two) fill rules, the software will intelligently "guess" the subsequent fill results. In a new environment, you lose the old ways and work more efficiently.
