Experience: creating a practical Wireless Network

The company's managers are equipped with laptops. Every day, I have to pick them up and move them to the Office. It is inconvenient to use a network cable. All the laptops have wireless network cards. The manager ordered me to create a wireless network, which will be completed on the same day. The company's LAN has been connected to the Internet, the company's gateway 192.168.0.1, and other IP addresses are 192.168.0.2 ~ Within 255, the company's LAN is as follows.

The company's switch 2 is located on the second floor of the office building, right to the left of the manager's apartment 50 meters away. It is the most suitable place for AP installation.
Select AP to install on vswitch 2. You only need to connect the laptop to the LAN, and then set the gateway and DNS to 192.168.0.1 (the company gateway) to enable Internet access and LAN office.

　　1. Select an AP Device

The next step is how to connect the laptop to the LAN. Wireless Internet access must be done to buy an AP. (The AP function is described in the Manual)
I chose TP-LINK TL-WR245 Wireless Broadband Router. TL-WR245 Wireless Broadband Router Set firewall, router, wireless function technology in one, is a small office and home wireless Internet needs design, outdoor transmission distance of 300 M, indoor transmission distance of 30 ~ 130 M, the routing function of the TL-WR245 is not used, it will not be discussed.

The following is TL-WR245 Wireless Broadband Router and Asus Notebook A3000, WinXP Home system as an example, TL-WR245 Wireless Broadband Router for the default settings, before the installation of the Wireless AP manual to see N times.

IIAnd AP Installation

TL-WR245 Wireless Broadband Router has five interfaces, a WAN interface, four LAN interface, because it is LAN access, with a straight-through dual-gel line (according to 568A standard) access any LAN interface, the LAN interface of switch 2 in Figure 1 at the other end of the twisted pair wire is connected to the Power supply. The Power light on the panel is on. The WLAN light flashes, indicating that the wireless function has been enabled and the function works properly, the AP has been connected to the vswitch.

　　3. Laptop Nic settings

The laptop has its own wireless network card, and the wireless network card driver has been installed correctly. (The driver installation is incorrect. Please reinstall the driver. Please refer to the instructions for the driver installation process. I will not talk about it here ). The wireless NIC driver must be installed with the 802.11B protocol, WLAN transport, TCP/IP protocol, Microsoft network file sharing, and print sharing. (do whatever you want to use !).

The Working Group of the company's LAN is SD, so the Working Group is SD. Double-click the TCP/IP protocol and set the IP address to 192.168.58 (the manager's own IP address, otherwise there is a conflict with the LAN). Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, the gateway 192.168.0.1, And the DNS to 192.168.0.1, click "OK". The wireless network card settings have been completed.

The wireless switch of the Asus A3000 notebook is Fn + F2 (some wireless switches are buttons, and the indicator is on). If the wireless function is enabled, the wireless adapter will automatically search for nearby wireless APs, A wireless signal icon is displayed in the task bar to indicate the signal strength of the Wireless AP (like the mobile phone signal)

Double-click the signal icon, such as, the content is to find the detailed description of the Wireless AP, the name is "TP-LINK", after reading the "close ".

The wireless network card is connected (if X is red, the wireless network card is not enabled. Press Fn + F2 on the keyboard to enable the wireless network card or right-click the connection, or right click --- Select "enable" OK ). To set the TP-LINK to a fixed connection, click Add to open the set up wireless network profile

In operation mode, select "connect to wireless network and Internet" and click "Next"

Open the network neighbor, haha ~~, All the computers in the LAN are already in the room. Open the shared computer and try again. Open IE, enter http://www.enet.net, GO ~ The website can also be accessed.

　　5. Ap Security Settings

The connection has been established, the above TL-WR245 is the default settings, any computer with a wireless network card can be connected to join, the network is not safe, but also to set security. TL-WR245 IP address 192.168.1.1, subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, to enter the TL-WR245 WEB management interface, first set the computer IP address and TL-WR245 IP address for the same network segment, I change the IP address of a computer near the LAN to 192.168.1.2, open IE, enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, enter the user name and password, the default user name and password is Admin, open the TL-WR245WEB management interface,

So I chose MAC address filtering. Click security settings on the left-side Navigation Pane-set the firewall and select "Enable Firewall" and "enable MAC address filtering ". After setting, click "save". Otherwise, it will be done in white. Note that all subsequent settings will be saved.

Modify the password of the wireless router (the password setting is more complex). I believe that few people can intrude into the vro, that is, some want to intrude into the vro. The AP is placed in the company, and the transfer distance is limited, I don't have to worry about a large number of hackers.

Return to test OK, and use several additional laptops for test (add the MAC address first). Everything works normally. After the notebook searches for the AP, it can only access the Internet after each key connection ~, It is best to create a fixed connection.

Wireless Networks are actually very simple. You have a chance to try it. When building a wireless network, the biggest problem encountered is the placement of the Wireless Broadband Router. You must select a suitable location. There is also no relationship between the IP address of the wireless router and the IP address of the access network, but try not to be the same network segment as the LAN. Wireless Internet access is easy to set. You can easily set up wireless Internet access without too much professional knowledge. It is very convenient for home users to use wireless networks on multiple computers. wireless security is not very secure yet, be careful.
