Iii. Common operations for SVN
1, move out of the configuration library content (SVN Checkout)
1) New or enter the directory (e-disk, for example), right-click →svn Checkout
2) URL of repository fill in the warehouse path
3) Revision, "HEAD revision" refers to the latest version, or you can specify revision as any version.
4) After clicking the "OK" button, enter the user name and password in the popup dialog box, and after verifying the project file begins to download from the remote server to the local working directory:

2. Update files (SVN update)
1) When the directory is removed from the configuration library, others have modified the contents of the directory on the server, then the process of getting the changes back to the local directory is called an update. Updates can be for one file, several selected files, or the entire file directory.
Select the file to be updated, and right-click on the "SVN Update" entry, as follows:
2) After clicking "SVN Update", a popup window will show the progress of the update, as follows:
If there is a bright red file in the box above, there is a conflict when the contents from the configuration library merge with your local modifications
3. Submit an update (SVN commit)
1) If you need to update to the server after the local file has been modified, you will need to commit the latest update (commit).
The role of Commit is to synchronize the latest locally modified files to the SVN server for other people to refer to or use, of course, before using the update, to ensure that it is up to date, right-click on the modified file, the menu appears, select "SVN Commit ...", as follows:
2) then fill in the log message about this update, which is required, otherwise the commit will fail, as follows:
3) When the indicated prompt box appears, it indicates that the modification was successfully submitted, and that the current SVN version number is added to 1.
4. Add File (ADD)
1) Add the new files that need to be added to the local evicted folder Testmanger directory in the appropriate location, the mouse select the new file right-click "Add" Tortoise SVN, as shown in:
2) the mouse selected Testmanger folder right-click "SVN Commit ..." To upload the new file to the configuration library corresponding folder (if you only upload a single file, just click on a single file upload).
5, check the update (check for modifications)
1) This feature can show what local modifications to the file have not yet been committed. Not only can you see changes to the file, but also include adding files or directories, deleting files or directories, moving files or directories, and so on. This can also be used to query when others have submitted changes to the file.
6. deleting files (delete)
1) Select the file to be deleted, and right-select the "delete" entry for "Tortoise SVN" as follows:
2) After deleting the file, the mouse selects the Testmanger folder right-click the "SVN commit ..." Item for submission, and the submission method is the same as adding the file, and the new file is deleted from the configuration library after submission.
7. Undo Changes (Revert)
After some files have been modified (the file is not uploaded to the configuration library), you need to return to the state before the modification, the selected folder right-click "Tortoise SVN" "Revert ..." item to revoke, the file on the local hard disk will revert to the pre-modified content, the modified content will be deleted.
8. Locking and unlocking (Get Lock and Release Lock)
When the project needs to be able to lock out the contents of the local hard drive, select the file to be locked right-click the "Get lock ..." Item of "Tortoise SVN" to lock it (others will not be able to modify the file after locking), the system pops up the lock information box. When a text file is locked, you need to unlock others to continue modifying the file.
Select the locked file right-click to unlock the "Release lock ..." entry for "Tortoise SVN".
9. Renaming files (Rename)
Modify the filename, select the file or folder you want to rename, then right-click "Tortoise SVN" "Rename", enter the new name in the popup dialog, click "OK" button, and will modify the file name after the files or folder "SVN commit ..." submitted to the SVN server.
10. Get the history file (Show log)
Show log, as its name implies, is the function of displaying logs, mainly showing the file or the operation that the directory was executed, who modified it, and the time and date of the modification.
