Currently, the access network product level in the Chinese market is still at the management level of the network element, that is, to maintain a single access network product device. Because the access network shares only a small portion of the primary network, the Senior Network Management still uses the original network management system of the switch, and the access network management becomes part of the local network management of the switch. In this situation, it is still an urgent problem to integrate the access network management system into the domestic network.
From the perspective of the development of the access network, the access network products introduce competition mechanisms from multiple manufacturers and the positive national support attitude towards access network products, so that the access network prospects are generally optimistic, as the technology of the access network continues to improve, its features become increasingly prominent, and its advantages become increasingly popular, the access network will remain the mainstream product in the market in the next few years, and its scale will be further expanded. When the scale of the access network expands to a certain extent, the existing network management mode of the access network will be broken. The Network Management of the access network that is tied to the primary network management will gradually emerge, and the relationship between the access network management network and the local network management of the switch will be further streamlined. Therefore, the management goal of access network management is to manage integrated services. 1) How to comprehensively manage various technologies in the access network: the access network is one of the most integrated technologies so far. For example, xDSL, SDH, PON, ATM, DLC, HFCs, and various Wireless Access transmission technologies are integrated for the transmission technology. As far as the current technology level is concerned, it comprehensively manages a network that adopts a transmission technology, such as SDH, to make certain technical difficulties. For a multi-level and multi-range network such as the access network, comprehensive management is very difficult.
2) how to deal with the user sensitivity in the access network: the access network is the most user-sensitive network. The access network is directly oriented to users. Therefore, users are aware of service quality problems through the access network. If a problem occurs in other networks, the user may not feel it directly. However, if a problem occurs in the access network, the user will feel it. Even problems with other service networks may also be reported through fault transmission. As one of the functions of the network management system is to provide support to ensure service quality, it is much more difficult to manage access networks with high user sensitivity than to manage general networks.
3) how to deal with the relationship with other network administrators: the access network is the most closely related network with other service networks. The access network is a part of the local telecommunication network and is closely related to other parts of the local network. Generally, the business network management system can be built independently, and then integrated with other network management systems. However, the construction of the access network management system must consider the problem of integration with other network management systems in the local telecommunication network. If the problem is not solved, the access network management system cannot start to run.
4) how to adapt to the rapid development of the access network: the access network is the fastest changing network. As the access network itself is still evolving, some new technologies that can be used for access networks will continue to emerge, and it is difficult to predict what new technologies will emerge. Therefore, there is a process of change in understanding, using, and constructing access networks. For the construction of such a network management system that is still changing, and to ensure the sustainable construction of the network management system, the requirements for the network management system specifications are very high.
5) how to reflect the high adaptability of network management: the access network is a network with the highest adaptability requirements and has higher adaptability requirements than other networks, for example, capacity range, access bandwidth range, geographic coverage, access service type, power supply and environment requirements, and other issues that do not exist in other service networks have become problems in the access network. These problems not only impose high requirements on the adaptability of the access network, but also impose high requirements on the network management specifications of the access network. Development Direction of Access Network Management
The standard for network management of access networks has two main development directions: Integration of network management systems for broadband access networks.
(1) broadband access network management: Along with the broadband network, the access network is moving towards broadband access network B-AN), broadband access network management has the following options: the current TMN-based network architecture and Q3-based network management interfaces are adopted. The current TMN-based network architecture is adopted, and the network management interfaces adopt IDL in CORBA; the Network Architecture Based on TMN is adopted. The network management interface can use Q3, IDL in CORBA, and SNMP in computer network management. A series of challenges, including the implementation of more complex function systems, V5VB5.1 and VB5.2 interfaces, narrowband user access, and coexistence of Broadband User Access, will surely push the access network management network into a new realm, it is foreseeable that the close integration of the existing access network management and broadband network management will be an inevitable trend.
2) integration of the network management system: the construction of the network management system of the access network should be considered comprehensively by the Internet network management. This is not only the basic requirement of the network management system of the access network, but also the requirement of comprehensive benefits, because of the comprehensive ability to produce benefits. Therefore, the network management standard of the access network must support the integration of the network management system of the access network and other network management systems of the primary network.
