Facebook Open source AI uses the hardware platform ' Big Sur '
Facebook is now using the hardware platform ' Big Sur ' used by its AI. ' Big Sur ' is a GPU-accelerated hardware platform compatible with open racks.
Facebook's artificial intelligence is often overlooked, but Facebook has used a lot of AI in many cases. Facebook has done a lot of research on AI, using machine learning to help get a better news feed, organise photos and video content, even read stories or play games. Now, Facebook is open source for the hardware Big Sur used by AI.
Facebook also announced a recent release of AI hardware design to Open Compute Project, and promised to give the community a system design based on existing components designed specifically for AI tasks. This design binds 8 NVIDIA Tesla M40 GPUS to a simple, service-able motherboard. CPU heat dissipation requires only one screwdriver to solve.
"This can give AI researchers some help, sharing skills and technology," Facebook said in a statement, "We believe this open source collaboration will help to create innovative designs for the future, leaving us to build complex AI systems further." ”
