Mesh Routing Protocol is a Routing Protocol that runs on a wireless random network (MANETs) and a wireless Mesh Network (WMNs, the main function is to provide a data transfer path. Because the network topology of MANETs or WMNs is dynamic and variable and supports mobility, can you correctly select a transmission path and quickly reflect the current network environment, it will be an important key to affecting system performance.

However, different routing protocols are implemented by different development teams and have different operating mechanisms. The following are the possible factors that affect the overall efficiency:

When the network routing protocols are in a multi-path environment, their path selection performance and differences are huge, to explore the impact of path selection on the efficiency of the mesh routing protocol, professional knowledge and a dedicated test environment and process are required. It is relatively simple to analyze the additional job time and the head loss.

The head loss is closely related to the Header design. It is also a major challenge to minimize the head loss and meet the major functional design considerations.

The additional job time is related to the actual work, including the Coding method, program design logic, and the operating system conditions.

On the surface, the efficiency of path selection is to select the correct path or the optimal path. How is the optimal path? There are also many factors to consider, such as Hop Count, connection quality, signal interference, QoS, and so on, which can be included in the calculation, but cannot be separated from a large principle, it is the most difficult to effectively detect and control the current real environment.

The routing method of distance vector method does not need to master the complete network topology. Therefore, in the process of data transmission, there will be too many hops compared to the routing method of the connection state method, this is a feature of distance vector routing.

In addition, if a node is the best next hop for other nodes at the same time, the amount of data processed and the load of its own bandwidth will increase. This is the lack of QoS or Load Balancing mechanisms. Such problems will also affect the overall system performance.
