1. Description of supported operating systems of EDU7.7
1. EDU7.7 is an educational application dedicated by Lenovo for Windows 8 64-bit users to set network simultaneous transmission and hard disk protection functions. It is only applicable to Win8 64-bit systems, operating systems of other versions are not supported;
2. EDU 7.7 can only work in UEFI mode. Therefore, after EDU7.7 is installed, Windows 8 32-bit, Windows 7, XP, and other operating systems cannot be installed;
3. EDU7.7 can only work in the GPT partition, but does not support Windows 8 32-bit, Windows 7, XP, DOS, and other operating systems;
II. Description of EDU7.7 Hardware support
1. Supported Platforms: H61 IVY, H61 sandy, and some all-in-one machines (Tianqi A3100 and Tianqi A7100 );
2. Principle: all machines using EDU must be the EDU version that comes with the factory standard. This can effectively reduce the EDU fault problems caused by self-modification;
EDU 7.7 and EDU 7.6.2 have different installation methods, and their corresponding operating systems are also different. EDU 7.6.2 is installed by running the Eduw7.cmd command on a CD-ROM. The EDU 7.7 installation method is as follows:
III. Composition of the optical disc
1. Disk1: EDU7.7 _ CORE_1st
2. Disk2: EDU7.7 _ win8 64bit SC _ OS _2nd or EDU7.7 _ win8 64bit pro_ OS _2nd
3. Disk3: EDU7.7 _ Win8_CriticalUpdate_3rd

IV. Installation method
1. Boot from the optical drive, first put the Disk1 boot disk;
2. Query the packing list, check whether the system that comes standard with the factory is Win8 SC or Win8 Pro, and put it in Disk2;
3. Add Disk3 as prompted until the installation is complete;
5. The following describes the installation steps in detail:
1 boot from the optical drive, first put the EDU7.7 _ CORE_1st boot disk, click next, as shown in Figure 1

2. Select "I accept these terms and conditions" and click next, as shown in figure 2.

3. Query the packing list and check whether the system that comes standard with the factory is Win8 SC or Win8 Pro. Select the corresponding version and click next, as shown in figure 3.

4. EDU7.7 can only work in the GPT partition. We recommend that you select the GPT partition format and click next, as shown in figure 4.

5. Back up important user data and click "yes" to clear all data on the hard disk. Click "next", as shown in figure 5.

7. After the data is copied, the system prompts you to change the disc. Replace the EDU7.7 _ win8 64bit SC _ OS _2nd or EDU7.7 _ win8 64bit pro_ OS _2nd) click "yes", as shown in Figure 7.

8. Insert the disc and click OK. The computer is restoring the system. Please wait ..., After the data is copied, the system prompts you to change the disc, as shown in figure 8.

9. Replace EDU7.7 with the third disc EDU7.7 _ Win8_CriticalUpdate_3rd, and click OK, as shown in Figure 9

11. After the data is copied, click "yes". The Computer immediately restarts the system, as shown in Figure 11.

12. After automatic boot, the computer starts to decompress the data. Wait a little longer here. Please be patient. After the data recovery is complete, the computer restarts, as shown in Figure 12.

13. Select "accept" and click "OK", as shown in Figure 13.

Please wait a moment and enter the Windows 8 operating system. The restoration operation on the EDU7.7 disc has been completed.
After the installation, most engineers thought that EDU7.7 had been installed and immediately restored. This was not the case. In EDU7.7, three CDs were restored, but hidden partitions were created, to recover the Windows 8 operating system, activate EDU7.7 and install the basic edition of EDU7.7 Lenovo network control tool under Windows 8, that is, the hard disk protection driver.
6. Activate EDU7.7
1. Press F4 to bring up the EDU7.7 installation interface. Because EDU7.7 is only applicable to Windows 8 64-bit systems and does not support any other operating systems, we recommend that you select quick installation. After you click it, it is shown in Figure 16.

2. System prompt: After the installation is complete, it is recommended to set the EFI password. Click OK, as shown in Figure 17

3. The system prompts: the partition is now in open mode, whether to switch to protection mode, select "cancel", as shown in Figure 18, because the hard disk protection driver is not yet installed.

4. Select the Default OS and click "enter system", as shown in Figure 19. (to rename the Default OS, select "modify partition" from the administrator menu)

5. The system prompts that the hard disk protection driver is not installed. Click OK to enter the Windows 8 operating system, as shown in Figure 20.

6. If the installation is in protection mode, the prompt is as shown in Figure 21.

7. Download the user manual of the knowledge base EDU7.7 and the driving knowledge No.: 105182, or find the Lenovo network control tool basic edition on the user's random disc. EXE, Lenovo network control tool basic edition to run in open mode. Double-click "run" and click "next", as shown in Figure 22.

8. Select "yes" for the end user license agreement, as shown in Figure 23.

13. Add the Windows firewall feature, disable UAC, and click restart. By now, EDU7.7 has basically been installed. You need to manually add the software and driver, and then execute the network simultaneous transmission.
