previous section: new layer Blending mode detailed
Example: Add lifelike drops
This example mainly through the use of superimposed mixed mode operation, to the material picture on the lotus leaf to add two drops of lifelike water droplets, according to the Convention, before the beginning of the tutorial, first look at the effect of the picture.

1. Open the material file provided by this example.
2. Draw a circular object on the lotus leaf, the stroke color is set to none, the fill type chooses the radial fill in the gradient, the color is set to "#FFFFFF-#666666-#FFFFFF", see the figure below.
3. In 400% view, adjust the fill handle of the circle object, this example adjusts the fill handle to show the following figure.
4, select the Circle object, its blending mode set to "overlay", and the opacity set to 40%, after the adjustment of the circular object in the editing area shown below, the effect of water droplets has basically appeared.
5, however, at the moment, "water droplets" and lotus leaf looks too close to the combination of some, this also needs to make some adjustments to it, so that its three-dimensional intensity. Select the Circle object and add a drop shadow filter to it on the property inspector, as shown in the following figure.
6, after the addition of shadow, the editing area of the "water" has been exposed, please see the following figure.
7, continue to add a larger water droplets, directly cloned this has been set to complete the drops of the object can be all of its properties copied over, but also included the application of the diagram has been mixed mode. Use the Zoom tool to enlarge it a bit, and then make some adjustments to the fill handle.
8, water droplets of the larger, so that its three-dimensional and some deficiencies, so that it can do some further adjustment to perfection. Select the Circle object, and on the property inspector, select the Shadow and flare | Inner Shadow command in the Filter menu, and the specific parameter settings refer to the figure below and do not go into detail.
9, in order to make large water droplets represent a surface of the light reflection effect, and then I have to add texture. No particular texture was found, here is the "parchment" texture, and the texture is set to "30" size, the final effect shown in the following figure.
[note]: If the transparency of the water droplets is not satisfactory, you can adjust and compare them repeatedly until you reach the most satisfactory.
[summary]: This example through the "superposition" of the use of mixed mode, the system to make a more realistic droplet effect, the main is to make full use of the superposition of this mixed mode characteristics. We can also add a text object to the image, and then use the overlay blending mode for the text object, which makes it easy to create the watermark effect.
