Fireworks 8 incorporates a lot of interesting features, but in my view, one of the coolest is the new 26 blending modes. These new blending patterns open up a world of creative potential. I can't accept it because I'm a fireworks addict. I deal with a lot of graphics in fireworks, and I try and create all kinds of possible effects. The new hybrid model gives fireworks a broader arena.

Blending modes can be used on fireworks layers and objects, and the blending effect is mainly influenced by the color of the blended image, and also by the opacity of the layers and objects.

I divide this article into three parts:

First, mixed mode-Quick start.

The blending mode I am introducing here is based on some of my own experiments and research. Anyway, some of the explanations for my color patterns are only for the scientists to understand. In this case I just try to explain some of the changes I can understand.

For any blending mode, there must be at least two objects or two layers that hold pixels. The result of the blending mode is how the selected pattern changes based on the pixels on each object.

A blending mode contains the following elements:

Opacity: Opacity.
Blend color: mixed colors. Use the fill color of the fill tool or the existing color of the layer you want to apply blending mode to.
Base color: basic colors. The color below the blending mode.
Result color: Results colors. Mix the colors after.

Blending mode consists of a layer or object mixed with the object underneath it, and if you apply a blending mode to the level version, it affects the entire layer or object.

You can't apply blending mode to a bitmap selection, but you can apply the blending mode to the Fill tool and brush tool.

Each object and each layer can have its own blending mode.

Blending modes can also be applied to vector tools such as Shapes, text, pens, and line tools. You can set the blending mode before you go back, or you can set it after you have finished drawing it. Even after a vector object fills a bitmap texture or pattern, the blending mode applied to the vector graphic is always editable.

Another powerful feature of the Uhunhe blending mode is that you can apply it to the bitmap fill tool (brush, pencil, paint bucket). Select one of the above tools, selecting a fill color, and then choosing a blending mode from the property palette to start drawing, gives you a very granular way to control the blending effect, but unfortunately it's not the same as the object and layer application, and it's a permanent change in pixel color values. I think this feature is very useful for users who use pens, and of course using the mouse is an interesting attempt.

You can also use blending mode in the Brush tool and bitmap selection to enhance the detail area of the graphic. In the following example, I used the pattern to help select the yellow leaves, and then using the Brush tool (Paint Brush tool), I chose freeze blending mode and #ff6600 fill color to give this leaf some surreal effects.

Mixed Mode classification

The blending mode in fireworks is divided into 9 different categories, and I describe them in this way:

Opacity Modes (opaque mode)-Normal and Average
Darkening Modes (Dark mode)-darken, Multiply, color Burn, inverse color Burn and Soft Burn.
Lighten Modes (lighting mode)-lighten, screen, color Dodge, inverse color Dodge and Soft.
Lighting effects Modes (illumination effect mode)-overlay, Soft Light, Fuzzy Light and Hard Light
Invert Modes (inverted mode)-difference, exclusion, negation
Color Modes (Tim mode)-hue, saturation, color, luminosity, Red, Green Blue
Thermal Modes (Hot mode)-reflect, Glow, Heat and Freeze (OK, OK, thermal is I idea, but with blend mode names like Heat and F Reeze, I couldn ' t help myself)
Math Modes (mathematical model)-additive, subtractive, subtract, interpolation, Stamp and XOR
