I'm Xie qihong from the School of Mathematics Science. I graduated from Fudan University in 1997, went to Tokyo University in 1999, and obtained a doctorate degree from Tokyo University in 2005, after four years of post-doctoral work, he is now an associate professor and master tutor of the Mathematics Institute. After returning to my alma mater, I felt that I had achieved great development in both scientific research and teaching. I have received the attention of the school leaders. I am the only teacher who takes basic courses for undergraduates soon. I am now a lecturer in advanced algebra of basic courses in the Mathematics Institute. When the school leader asked me to serve as the lecturer in basic courses, I felt like I was a top 7 student, this is not easy, but I am happy to accept this challenge for the following reasons:
First, I always believe that Fudan University is necessary to become a world-class university with first-class scientific research. However, first-class teaching level and first-class teaching groups are even more necessary, only by reaching the first-class level of teaching can we stick to the pace of development.
Second, as a world-class University, Tokyo University has many mature and advanced ideas in its teaching system. I went back to Fudan University, I am looking forward to applying the better teaching methods of the University of Tokyo to Fudan's class. I have a lot of expectations for this kind of attempt, so I have accepted this challenge.
Third, my undergraduate course is Fudan University. It should have grown up in the spiritual home of Fudan University. I love school from my heart, and I am willing to put a lot of energy into teaching, willing to reward Fudan University with your own efforts. During my two years as an undergraduate Basic course instructor, my teaching work was highly praised by the school leaders and praised by the students.
On the other hand, today is a forum. I also want to talk about my own experiences and opinions. For example, when I had a final exam, I waited for a student to answer questions in the office that afternoon, but no student came here. So I went to chat with the student and asked you why you didn't answer questions? The student said, "We are all preparing for this course, teacher ." At that time, I was surprised because I had to review it the day before the test. They are preparing for the test. What does this mean? In addition to being well taught by teachers, Fudan University also needs to learn well. The national college students' math competition has already been held for two years. Our Fudan University still achieved good results in mathematics competitions, but not very good in non-mathematics competitions. Our School of Mathematics needs to work with other departments to find the crux of the problem and strive to improve the competition performance.
At the beginning of July this year, I took part in the Qinggan class. During this period, many school departments, such as the personnel department and Science and Technology Department, gave us some school information reports. Through the study of these reports, we are very aware that there is indeed a big gap between Fudan University and world-class universities. Compared with domestic universities, competition in various fields is fierce. However, I'm glad that the principal and Vice-President have a sense of crisis. As a young teacher, I often ask myself how to contribute to the development of Fudan. I am now 36 years old. As a young teacher, I must first devote myself to scientific research and strive to make first-class scientific research achievements. I also need to teach teaching with peace of mind and be active on the front-line of teaching, strive to build Fudan University into a world-class university.
