Then in the folder window, locate the softwaredistribution folder, and then delete it or rename it.
Third, then to the DOS window, enter the net start wuauserv command and restart the update service. You can then see that the system prompt service has started successfully and re-enters Windows Update on the Control Panel to check for updates.
