1.1 Metal Writings
Use Flash to make metal words, is also a cliché, but to make a sample is not so easy, the realization of this example is to make a blue bottom of the metal word effect, in the process of making the main use of gradient filling tools, through a simple few tools to create a beautiful metal effect. The difficulty lies in the use of graphics, color editing techniques and filler tools. The final playback effect as shown in Figure 1, to achieve this effect, the specific production process is as follows:

1. Create a new movie, set its size to 500pxx400px in the property panel, and select a color (this example is #003399) as the background color.
2. In the Toolbox, first the Text tool, and set the relevant properties in the Text property panel, in this case, the font is Arial black, text size 96, text color is #3399ff, of course, the reader can set according to the need to create different text effects. Click on the stage and enter a few letters of chrome, and of course you can enter other letters as shown in Figure 2.

3. Select the text you just entered, select the two "Modify/Detach" menu command, or press two times ctrl+b directly, separate the text into a color block, and Flash 5 different, Flash MX in the number of words more than 1 of the text object to break operations, to the continuous two times before the text can be divided into color block. Only one scatter operation can be used to separate the individual text. The effect is shown in Figure 3.

4. Click or press the S key directly to select the ink Bottle tool in the Toolbox. In the Properties panel, set its outline line to black, the line type to solid, the line width set to 4, and then click a few letters in the workspace to add a border to them, as shown in Figure 4.

5. Select the blue section of the text, choose the Insert/Convert to Symbol menu command, or press F8 directly to open the Convert to Symbol dialog box, convert the selected area to a graphic symbol, and name it Chrome, as shown in Figure 5.

6. Press the DELETE key to delete the newly generated "chrome" graphic symbol, leaving only the black contour lines, as shown in Figure 6.
