Filter

We learned about the basic usage of FLASH8 filters and blending modes through the first sections of the study. This time we continue to do experiments to test their performance in the animation.

OK, let's do a little animation with the filter applied first. Create a new movie clip, use gradients, draw circles, and remove contour lines. Back to the main scene, ctrl+l the library panel and drag this clip to the scene for backup, as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 1

Select the circle, add a filter-glow, select Blue, Blur xy to 100, strength 200%, as shown in Figure 2.

Figure 2

Press F6 to insert the keyframe in frame 15th, ctrl+t the transform panel, and reduce the circle to the previous "60%". and adjust the filter-glow, set the parameter blur xy to "38", the strength of "120%". Add Filter-Adjusts the color and adjusts the brightness to "16" as shown in Figure 3.

Figure 3

Insert a keyframe at frame 30th, add a filter to the circle-blur, remove the constraint small lock behind the blur xy, and adjust the blur x to "88" individually. Press Ctrl+t to pull out the deformation panel, remove the constraint, adjust the height of the original "16%" alone. Switch to filter-adjust the color to set the brightness to "100", as shown in Figure 4.

Figure 4

In frame 45th, insert the keyframe, switch to the property panel, and set the alpha transparency to "0%" to make the circle disappear. As shown in Figure 5.

Figure 5

OK, create a motion tween in paragraph three, this animation completes. Of course, the value mentioned above is not deterministic, you can modify it at will, such as the first frame of the circle using filters to adjust to red and so on. This is one thing to do with spices such as salt or chili when cooking, and you can follow your own preferences and end up with a 6 animation, similar to the process of a planetary fade.

Animation example

Then we'll do a little experiment, import one of the footage and convert it into a movie clip. Add a projection filter to it, adding several keyframes to change its size, angle, perspective, and mapping. At the same time, we can also try to change the fuzzy parameters of different frames, or add more filters to them, as shown in Figure 7.

Figure 7

The results show that the word "shadow accompanying" is being applied, regardless of how we change its size, angle, mapping, etc. The projection has always changed with the object, and it is completely in accordance with the laws of nature. Even we can change different filter effects in different key frames, which is obviously quite flexible. Finally we get the result, as shown in Figure 8 animation.

Animation example

Below, we test the blending mode animation effect, a new layer placed under the "skiers" layer, import a bitmap by F8 into a movie clip, placed on this layer. In the skiers layer, set the blending mode to "color multiplication", "lighten", "invert", and so on, in different keyframes, as shown in Figure 9.

Figure 9

In this way, we get the effect of the animation in Figure 10, the "skier" in a different mix in the lower bitmap shuttle, and the filter is still available in the process.

Example animation

In this version of Flash8, Macromeida particularly emphasizes the new features of video input and output with a new video decoder. But with our observations, the new features far more than these, filters + hybrid + animation, Flash8 seems to prefer to the video effects of the processing took a big step, almost equivalent to a lightweight after effects, with Adobe and Macromedia further integration, The future of Flash8 is full of space for imagination.
