Description
This document describes the message content filtering configuration for all fortigate devices. FortiGate can identify and filter message content. All mail filtering functions need to send and receive mail using mail client software (such as Microsoft Outlook,outlook express,foxmail).
Environment Introduction:
This article uses FORTIGATE110C to do the demo. The system version supported in this article is Fortios v4.0.
Step one: Create a new message content filter List
New filter list in UTM----anti-spam----taboo words
Step two: Define the content of the filter
Then click New definition to filter email address
Templates: Entering taboo words
Template type: Select Matching code
Language: Choose which language the word belongs to
Scope of Action: Select a range to identify the word
Count: A score that defines the content
Status: Check to enable this vocabulary checking
Description: In this example, three taboo words are defined, each score is 5, and the threshold value is set to 10 in the Content Protection table. First fortigate the number of words scanned in the mail in accordance with the definition of taboo words, and then add the taboo words score, if the total score is greater than or equal to the threshold value, then marked as spam. That is, if the message contains more than (or equal to) two taboo words, the message is considered junk e-mail. The number of taboo words, the value of words and the thresholds in the protected content table can be set according to the actual situation.
