After so many years of work, I have been involved with many trainers, whether it's Liu Yi, WHO is successfully learning "Executive Intelligence", or then Oracle expert Zhao yuanjie, although the content they teach, the style of doing things, the goals of life, the things that everyone wants to pursue, and the knowledge I have learned in the course are not the same, but it makes me feel the difference between the trainer profession and other professions. In addition, many of our friends are engaged in IT training, setting up their own companies, and digging their own buckets of gold.
At this time last year, I have also done a lot of internal sharing and communication within the Department. Although it is different from the complete training, it also has something in common. Therefore, I am also interested in training-related knowledge and skills.
A while ago, I saw the introduction of the "Trainer" book. When I wanted to buy it, I found out that it was out of stock. I saw the book on excellence a few days ago and I had to buy one. I flipped through several pages yesterday, I felt good. I finished my work early today and started reading it. I didn't expect that the afternoon will soon pass in the reading process, this book has been read by me. Although I have forgotten some important training-related knowledge, I may have remembered some things.
In fact, I think many people will pay more attention to the training-related knowledge when reading this book. I hope that I can use my training skills to enter the trainer industry, or do better in this industry. However, I am more concerned with Richard, his character, style of work, and way of getting along with others, he is a simple and kind person. Maybe this kind of character makes him finally choose the trainer profession. But perhaps this is the most valuable thing, and only such a character, in order to achieve the "three hearts and two powers" mentioned in the book later (Love, curiosity, focus, learning, body power ).
I often discuss soft skills and hard skills with people. hard skills can be easily improved in a short time, while soft skills are very difficult and need to be explored constantly, there is no fixed answer. The same is true for training. Various opening skills, interaction skills, and summary skills can be obtained through systematic training, the character mentioned in the book, as well as the three hearts and two powers mentioned later, will be difficult. It may vary from person to person.
Maybe it is because soft skills are difficult to cultivate. When I look at the abilities required to do various things, I pay more attention to soft abilities than hard abilities. For example, when recruiting employees, we should pay more attention to whether they can be well integrated into the team, rather than simply looking at the programming experience and the knowledge of various languages and databases.
In fact, the same is true in Agile Software Engineering Methods. Many people advocate "people-oriented" in their teams ", what is important is the ability of people to communicate, cooperate, and withstand pressure, rather than simply focusing on the knowledge structure.
Training is a very challenging task, and I always feel that the most rewarding part of the training process is not the trainees who receive the training, but the trainers, because he will continuously obtain various cases or problems in this process, and then constantly use his knowledge to solve various problems, even if the problem is not solved, it will also constantly discover the deficiencies in the training process, so as to constantly adjust and improve. Every training will inevitably put a lot of effort into it, and even feel exhausted after completion. However, after the summary, we will feel that things are worth the money and will be happy. (The above content is purely speculation. Do not throw eggs if you have different opinions .)
The last simple sentence is also the way to do things, follow one's own heart. In this society, we often lose our hearts. If we can find and follow, we will be happy. Not necessarily rich, not necessarily expensive, but will achieve elegance, have happiness, sometimes for a person, then is not the most important?
