The so-called layer style is a new effect for makeup without changing the contents of the layer. (Don't think it's mixed mode)
To add a method:
One is to double-click the layer in the Layer palette, and the other is to click the button below the Layer palette, and three through the menu layer _ layer style.
Modification Method:
If you want to change the settings of a layer style, you can directly double-click the style item, directly into the layer style of the item's settings, if you just double-click the layer, it will only open the settings box and will not correspond to the specific style item.
Projection: If you change the contour to cause shadow aliasing, you can turn on the anti-aliasing option.
Inner Shadow: is very similar to the projection on the option (except no knockout projection). It gives the object a feeling of sinking. So it has a higher level than the object. The blocking options are similar to the extended options in the projection.
Bevel and Emboss: Ideal for creating three-dimensional sense. Makes the object appear to be no longer planar but has a certain volume. Bevel and Emboss have two sub-options, contour lines and textures, respectively. Contours can change the shape of the Emboss section, and the texture can add a bump texture to the object. The degree of smoothness can be controlled by zooming and depth. The pattern used as a texture will be converted to grayscale before it is used for the object. The darker gray area will form a concave sense. If reversed-phase is selected, the concave and convex regions can be interchanged.
Gloss adds a messy crease-reflective sensation to the object, similar to the surface of the silk. The principle is to copy the object two copies, internal overlap processing, the effect of the most important is the contour options.
The color overlay, gradient overlay, pattern overlay settings, and effects are the same as the fill layers we've learned before (the fill layer is built with layer _ New fill layer). You can try it yourself. Their levels are higher than the object.
Hierarchical relationship: It is important to note that there are occlusion coverage relationships between the three, the highest level of color overlay, the second gradient overlay, and the lowest level of pattern overlay. This raises the question: the effect of the pattern overlay may be obscured by the gradient overlay and not visible, and the same color overlay may obscure the effect of the gradient and pattern.
After overlaying a grayscale gradient, the text renders a grayscale gradient, but after the red is superimposed, the effect of the gradient is obscured and we can only see a red text. If you change the blending mode from normal to multiply in the color overlay settings, you can see that the red and grayscale gradients are well fused together, resulting in a gradient from red to black. Of course, even if you do not change the blending mode of the color overlay, only the opacity of the falling color overlay can create a fusion effect. As each green arrow points.
In general, when applied to both the color overlay and the gradient overlay, you should change the blending mode of the color overlay to multiply to achieve blending with the gradient, in addition to the filter, overlay mode is also more commonly used.
The stroke effect is generated around the edge of the object, and if the position is selected externally, the level is lower than the object, and the inner transparent area expands to make the overall area larger. The inner time level is higher than the object, from the surrounding to the interior expansion and occlusion of the object, the overall area remains unchanged. The thickness of the stroke can be changed by the size option, in pixels. In addition to using a single color to stroke, you can also use gradients and patterns, including custom patterns, to stroke the edges.
Global light with global light, if you change the lighting angle in any of these styles, all the styles in all layers will change, as shown in the following figure. You can easily change one of the light source to the lower right corner, you will see 3 of the light source location has changed.
Contours are special settings that are valid for styles that have a fade transition feature. For example, the projection is from the initial thick to later fade, light is a process from dense to fade. Contours can change the order of changes in the fade process.
