Tips in this tutorial, I'll show you how to make a complete 3D logo, and of course, all of the operations are done in Photoshop. This is one of my favorite special effects. All right, let's get started.
First, create a new image with a gray background, size as you like, I used a pretty large size. (Figure 01)
Creates a new layer.
In the new layer, draw your logo graphic, the foreground color is black, and the logo shape depends on your preference. Be sure to make the logo drawing in the same layer.
After drawing the logo, perform the menu "Edit>transform>skew" (Edit > Transform > Distort) and drag the bottom two control points outward, as shown in the figure.
Next, execute Menu "Edit>transform>scale" (Edit > Transform > Zoom), simply drag the top control point down to compress the logo as shown in the figure.
Now let's add a little relief to the logo. Perform the Menu "Filter>stylize>emboss" (Filter > Styling > Emboss), and the parameters are set as follows:
When you're done, your image should look like this:
The next effect is easy to make. On the Layers panel, select the logo layer, hold down CTRL and ALT keys, and then hold down the arrow key. At this time, the logo layer is copied over and over, and each copy of the logo will be slightly upward offset, so that people look like a three-dimensional image.
Your image should be as shown in the following image:
Now that we've finished making the logo graphics, we're going to paint it. First, click on the triangle button on the Layers panel and select "Merge Down" from the pop-up menu to merge all layers except the background layer (translator: Using the method described by the author, you need to continue to perform "merge down" until all layers are merged.) We can use a more convenient method: Click on the background layer of the eye icon to make it invisible, and then click on the layers panel of the three-color button, select "Merge visible layer", so that a one-time completion of the merge. Hold down the CTRL key and click on the logo layer to load the selection.
After the logo is selected, create a new layer, and then fill the selection with your favorite color. Executes the menu "Layer>layer style" (Layer > Layer style) to change the color overlay of the layer style.
Now your image should look similar to mine.
Now you just need to change the background color so that it matches the logo. At this point, your logo production has been completed. The rest of the work is to change it as you please, to make it conform to your taste. Here are a few steps to make the logo more beautiful.
First, I lowered the "opacity" of the logo layer to make it more consistent with the background.
Then perform the menu "Image>adjust>brightness/contrast" (Image > Adjust > Brightness/contrast) to adjust the brightness and contrast of the image until I get a satisfactory result.
Immediately after loading the logo selection, select the "Airbrush" tool, the foreground is white, the light irradiation place using the "spray gun" spraying, so that become brighter.
Now we are really 100% to complete the production of the logo. The following figure is a cool logo sample. I believe you can also make your 3D logo to create such a "cool" effect.
In the absence of any use of 3D software, our cool 3D logo is complete. ：）
