Access 2007 Easy to get started Guide

I just want to tell you that I like this book very much. My experience with Microsoft Access is enough to allow me to skip this stupid series, but the reality is that I enjoy being overly spoilt when it comes to introducing Access 2007 's new user interface. Of course, I have installed it, and have tried new ribbons and menus, but after reading chapter II (Getting Started, getting Around) two times, I adapted to the new browsing style.

The biggest feature of this introductory brochure is a set of eye-catching page icons, such as tips, warnings, and noteworthy knowledge points. But there are no icons for "new features of Access 2007", and the authors emphasize the new features of Access 2007 in their own way. I'll summarize some of the main points in the chapter, "I Like Access 2007".

If you're a user of Access's ashes, you may not be able to get a 30-dollar book from this book. Its main focus is on data design principles and new tables, queries, tables, and reports. One of the chapters on macro you might want to throw away, and another chapter on VBA Let Me sleep.

On the other hand, this introductory handbook is not stupid! When I comment on certain books, I often find myself wringing my own hand over some absurd assumptions and assertions made by the authors of the book. This will never happen in this book. The material in the book is very informative. The progress of the content is well accepted by people unfamiliar with Microsoft Access and database design. It is appropriate to penetrate, but does not add unnecessary complexity. I absolutely wholeheartedly recommend this book to people who want or need to keep abreast of Microsoft Access 2007.

The lack of Access 2007

My first criticism is that Microsoft Office 2007 has been released for some time, but I'm not in a hurry to take access 2007 as a development platform, as do some of my other programmer friends. In a recent discussion on this issue, a chief access consultant in the Denver region said that he would not even install Access 2007 unless his client made a request.

I've installed Microsoft Office 2007, so I can feel my friend's fear of it. If you want to support applications that run on Office 2003 (or earlier), you may not want to install Access 2007 on your development computer. I'm not saying they can't coexist, but the boredom of switching back and forth between different versions is now magnified 10 times times. When Access 2002 and Access 2003 are installed on the same machine, switching between versions allows the registry to be reset, causing a slight delay. In Access 2007, the time to switch between versions is enough for you to get a cup of coffee. The following configuration screen has been displayed for several minutes before showing me the graceful user interface for Access 2007.

Switching back to Access 2003 (or switching between versions 2002 and 2003) will only show a more compact configuration dialog box, and you'll need to "install" and configure yourself in less than 10 seconds.
