Access Summary
A query is an Access database object that allows you to browse, filter, sort, and retrieve data in a database. The queries in the Access database are classified into five categories: Select query, crosstab query, parameter query, operation query and SQL query.
Methods for creating queries include creating with wizards and using Design view. Creating queries using wizards is intuitive and straightforward, but the query results may require further modification. Design views can create select queries, parameter queries, and crosstab queries, or you can modify queries that have already been created.
In general, queries need to comply with certain criteria, that is, query criteria. Query criteria are composed of operators, fields, and functions, which can be created by the Expression Builder. SQL is the database standard language. In fact, all queries in an Access database have corresponding SQL statements, and creating queries through SQL statements is also a common method.
