[Problem symptom] After Adobe Acrobat perfessional 9.0 is installed, two buttons are displayed in the office toolbar. Under normal circumstances, you can click the button to directly convert the current office document to a PDF document. These two buttons are also available in the IE Toolbar and right-click menu to convert the webpage to a PDF file, which is very convenient. The problem is: webpage files can be converted to PDF files, but office documents cannot be converted to PDF files. Every time you click the "convert to PDF" button on word, in the displayed dialog box, "the printer maker cannot find the print driver of Adobe PDF printer. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat perfessional!" [Problem Analysis] Adobe Acrobat converts office documents to PDF documents through a virtual print program. This virtual print driver is "Adobe PDF printer ". Normally, after Adobe Acrobat is installed, you can add a printer similar to Adobe PDF converter in "Control Panel-printer and fax, it indicates that there is a problem with the installation of the print driver. When the Office document is installed, the pop-up dialog box "the printer maker cannot find the print driver of Adobe PDF printer" appears. [Problem Solving] There are two solutions to search for answers online: Start the printer service or modify the PATH environment variable. Maybe the original authors of these two methods solve the problem, but none of them can be solved in my system. Then I suddenly remembered that when I installed the HP printer, I could not find the required files because I used the deep lite operating system, the system reduced some of the files required by the print driver. So I switched my idea of solving the problem to the operating system and found the corresponding solution on the in-depth technical forum: 1. manually add a printer to the control panel, select "local printer connected to this computer", and deselect "Auto Detect and install plug-and-play printer, select "Adobe PDF" as the port. If this port is not available, create a new port. 2. Do not select the driver from the list, but install it from the disk. Select the Xtras subdirectory pointing to the acrobat folder and find adobepdf. inf (this is the key driver file ): C:/program files/Adobe/acrobat 9.0/acrobat/Xtras/adobepdf Then install. 3. Before the installation is complete, the system will copy some files required to install the driver, including two files: pscript. HLP and aplwcsb1.ppd, which cannot be ignored; otherwise, the driver cannot be correctly installed. There are no deep operating systems (I don't know about other operating systems, but the fully installed non-lite version should be available). Fortunately, a senior man on the Internet provides these two files for download, after the two files are downloaded, you can specify the corresponding address for the system to complete the installation. 4. OK. Now Adobe PDF converter is displayed in your printer. However, the conversion button in the Office still cannot be used normally. A dialog box is displayed! The name of the printer must be renamed to "Adobe PDF ".Rename, test the conversion commands in the right-click menu and office, and finally the conversion is successful !! It's amazing to switch office documents and PDF documents as you like !!! It cannot be said that the "Change PATH variable" and "Start printer service" methods mentioned on the Internet are completely useless. However, to solve the problem, we must adhere to the specific problem analysis method, others' solutions do not necessarily apply to your computer. I think this solution should be one of the most effective ways to solve this problem. |
