Ii. About templates.

After we create a web map on ArcGIS online, we often create a web application through"Program"To add some functions to this webmap to make it a complete and systematic application.

For example, the simplest example is to apply a simple legend template to the previous "Beijing primary school and Internet cafe" application to make it a map application with a legend.

Through the above operations, we can analyze it briefly. Webmap + map template = map application.

The Web Map in ArcGIS online stores data content, symbol information, and layer information. Similar to the Services released by ArcGIS Server, but with richer content, it is all the data contained in a complete and independent application. Each webmap has a unique ID to facilitate unique resource locating.

Map templates are similar to a set of frameworks, and all functions are well done. The difference is that they are connected to different map contents.

In the map template we downloadedCodeFile. You only need to modify the webmap ID to create a map application with different content.
